According to the venerable communist wikipedia - Between 1788 and 1868, about 162,000 convicts were transported from Britain and Ireland to various penal colonies in Australia.
How many black african slaves were sent to the USA - how many of these 10.7 million Africans were shipped directly to North America? Only about 388,000. That's right: a tiny percentage.
There is a greater chance of being descendant from a convict shipped to Australia than there is of being a descendant of a black african slave sent to the USA.
The first court case in the USA involves a Black slave owner protecting his rights over his slave property.
A bit like Australian Bureaucrats telling everyone what they can and cannot do.

Mind you.
Australia was only settled in 1788 after the scum of the 13 colonies of what became the USA declared independence from Britain.
And there was about 5,000 who actually fought and kicked them out.
Read George Washington's correspondence.
I've always believed Australia should declare war on Britain.

Last year I came across an Aussie Tax Calculator, can't find it now but you put in your numbers in - income, purchases (GST), rates, car rego, fuel, grog, smokes, speeding fines etc and my approx total tax came in at 60+%. That's slavery in 2020. Quit work (more or less), reduced number of toys, tried to make purchases that would reduce gummint take. The ways in which they rob us are never ending.

I worked it out at more than 70%.
In transport you work so many hours you usually make over 100,000 gross.
So higher bracket, plus accreditations, regularly needing updating, I count as entirely a government tax,medicals, unnecessary equipment (over the top PPE not supplied etc etc), and then all the incidentals that you are forced to pay, which are indirect taxation of one form or another, etc and that's before working for yourself, and just an employee.
What could your boss pay you if he wasn't being taxed up the choofer as well?
PAYE income tax.
Council rates.
GST and various purchase taxes.
Cost of item without GST considered, because of the tax being paid by suppliers, and his suppliers.
regos, and insurances through the roof because of government policy.
Power bills tax proportion for the renewable mates of government,
etc etc etc, and it is impossible to accurately look at the percentage of being ripped off, as we are due to these factors.
The cost of products (besides GST) that gets added by those supplying that product to pay their tax, etc.
Near 70% of fuel costs are pure taxation.
Everything is much more costly because of government and the government imposition and power bills are a classic example that, although it finds it's way via corporatism (some call crony capitalism) to NGO businesses, it is an enforced cost and should be added.
When we look at that sort of thing I came to the conclusion I was being quite safe in looking at 70% of income.
I dare to dream of 70% if I am honest.

Ha ha....Convicts suffered terribly in some places, but many were soon freed to experience freedom from government the likes of which we could only dream about!
Once freed they could smoke and drink and I believe they could even sing and dance, go to church and gather in groups and have as many visitors over as they wished, and could even touch each other.
