Less than four months ago, federal Labor got roasted when Chris “Two jets” Bowen and “Airbus” Albo took two jets to one media event, (‘We needed two jets to help the climate’, 02/04).
But it seems state Labor learned nothing from that, with Steven “Giggles” Miles and the youth crime-wave police minister repeating that error, (Double trouble as LNP slams crime tour spend, 23/07).
If emissions mattered, they’d do these meetings via Zoom. Same if properly managing your tax and levy money mattered.
With politicians, it’s important to ignore what they say but watch closely what they do.
What they do says there’s no “climate crisis” - and so need for expensive, environmentally-destructive “renewables”.
It says government coffers are overflowing - and so state fees and levies can be cut.
When you work out why they’re lying to you on such a massive scale, you’ll never vote for them again.

It’s actually worse than that – the entire corporate media conspired to hide Biden’s decline from the American people, which is the opposite of its stated purpose.
We conspiracy analysts have known about it all along because Biden’s sister, Valerie Biden Owens, was deeply saddened by his dementia diagnosis well before the 2020 election.
Even more troubling was Biden dropping out via an X post, when it’s known a Democrat staffer sends those on his behalf, instead of in person in a media release,
It actually looks like Biden might have suffered a medical emergency and been fully incapacitated, or even dead, for at least six days but probably longer.
What we can be certain of is that the US media and bureaucracy is deeply partisan and corrupt and that our major defence partner is on a path to collapse.

We all know from lived experience that Labor and the Liberals much prefer to spend the wealth we generate in the regions on the sardine tin electorates in the capital cities.
If they wanted to fix Cairns’ water issues they’d have started working on a new dam in the Lamb Range twenty years ago.
Same with the range crossing issue, (We are stalled on road to ruin, 23/07).
They’ve known about the microfractures in the Kuranda bridge since it was built – but neither planned nor saved for its replacement.
I’ve been campaigning for 25 years for the central road that Bob Katter remembers each election time, as the Cairns Post’s archives show, and neither Labor nor the Liberals have shown the slightest interest.
If they were working for us, we’d have seen evidence of that. Why would we reward them for failure by electing their MPs again?

Every day we’re reminded that we’re suffering a housing crisis, (Housing goal out of reach, 23/07) but Labor never admits its policies and the Liberals’ policies caused it.
Worse, outside a few conservative columnists, the media never seems interested in asking why they haven’t reversed the policies that caused it.
Everyone with even half a brain now knows two things: the Labor-Liberal UNiparty wants a housing crisis and the corporate media serves the UNiparty’s agenda.
Only One Nation and United Australia Party senators are calling out this travesty of governance for what it is.
If you want an end to this gross stupidity, you need to dump the Labor and Liberal twins. After all, politics ain’t footy – you don’t owe them team loyalty.

Over the past quarter of a century, I’ve put a lot of time, money, and effort into planning and costing the central range crossing, (Push for new range route, 23/07).
I’ve briefed Bob Katter several times on how this crossing could be made to pay for itself as part of a larger group of projects.
Bob has belatedly claimed my work as his own - now that I’m running against his candidate in Cook.
The Cairns Post has, in the past, been very supportive of my work – including printing dozens of letters and even doing a double-page spread in a Saturday paper, (Copperlode hope - route cuts corners, 14/10/2000).
Now that I’m running as One Nation’s candidate in Cook in October, the Cairns Post’s support has evaporated.
The Cairns Post supports every left-wing party – Labor, Liberal, Katters – but not the only conservative party.
Sadly, that media bias means we’ll never get a sensible road that pays for itself.
And I doubt they’ll print this because they can’t cope with any criticism.
Sad.
