Labor + Greens = massive central planning (and public debt) to deliver electricity via ‘renewables.’
Coalition = massive central planning (and public debt) to deliver electricity via nuclear.
Libertarian Party = no central planning and no debt. We’d get government out of the way and let the private sector compete to deliver cheap, reliable electricity.
Let a hundred free market flowers blossom … and let Australia get back on its feet.
The free market will likely settle on coal in the short term but nuclear long term.
When politicians on the left meddle in the energy market it only gets worse. It’s exactly the same when right-wing politicians try to centrally plan an electricity supply.
And no need to worry about carbon dioxide release from coal-fired electricity. Carbon dioxide is currently 400 bits per million … so it’s an ultra trace gas but we need more: it’s plant food. Carbon dioxide greens the planet.
