We know from experience that the LNP won’t differ substantially from the ALP; both are locked into the UN’s so-called “sustainability goals” which are intended to crush humanity’s growth, (Cost-of-living ‘crickets’, 10/05).
Solving the cost-of-living crisis is actually quite easy; it mainly requires reversing Labor and Liberal policies – which is why we can be absolutely certain that neither of them will do it.
As to QCOSS’s view of the LNP as the “opposition”, they don’t do much to oppose Labor – most of the actual resistance to Labor’s creeping socialism comes from One Nation and the Katters.
There is an alternative government to the ALP-LNP duopoly; One Nation is running in every seat – we just need enough voters to realise that the ALP and LNP are working against them.

Language designed to trick you is increasingly being used against you by the politicians you employ, (Student financial relief on the way, 10/05).
For example: “Far Northerners with outstanding student loans will save $1200 per year on average under a new scheme that caps repayments at the lower indexation rate of either the consumer price index or the wage price index.”
You’re not “saving” anything; they’re just going to increase your debt by a slightly smaller amount.
When you understand that the Labor and Liberal parties aren’t honest with you about anything, you’ll wonder why you ever voted for them.

This is written as a good news story but it’s just the opposite if you’re homeless, jobless, in mortgage stress, caught in a traffic jam, on a never-ending hospital waiting list, or just struggling with Labor’s cost-of-living crisis.
For foreigners, studying in Australia is an immigration back-door and Labor’s crush-loading Australia with immigrants is causing all of the above problems that affect Aussies so deeply.
Foreign students are very profitable for the universities and their million-dollar-per-year Vice-Chancellors – but those benefits don’t flow to you.

As much as the mining sector is a vital source of wealth creation, I wouldn’t be investing in any mine that is dependent on so-called “clean” energy, (Mine set for revival, 10/05).
Wind and solar is neither “clean” nor “renewable”; it’s not cheap, it’s not reliable, it’s not capable of running a grid, and no place on earth has “transitioned” to it – not even the King Island test-bed in windy Bass Strait.
If it weren’t for the globalists’ WEF and UN having control of Western governments because, as Klaus Schwab says, they “penetrate ze cabinets”, there’d be an abundance of markets for tungsten outside “renewables” – and I’d buy shares in EQ Resources in a heartbeat.

Why no NAIF for the PDR

Who remembers the NAIF, the Northern Australia Infrastructure Fund? It had billions in it to fund infrastructure, you know, like roads, for northern Australia.
After quite a rainy wet season, the Peninsula Developmental Road has recently reopened after a very lengthy closure. Locals argue it was far too long.
The PDR is in electorates represented by the federal Liberals’ Warren Entsch and state Labor’s Cynthia Lui – but somehow neither managed to convince NAIF to finish sealing that vital road.
You have to wonder why and how MPs that get nothing done for their electorates keep getting re-elected.

The Greens are, without doubt, the most delusional minority on the planet: they believe the inverse opposite of what is actually true, (Green light to migrants, 10/05).
“The Greens say migration should not be blamed for the housing crisis despite the Reserve Bank governor saying migrants had ‘added to demand’ and put ‘pressure’ on the sector.”
It’s a basic law of economics that if demand for a product (housing) increases due to more people (migrants) needing it, then the cost of supply will also rise.
“But Greens housing spokesman Max Chandler-Mather said he did not believe migration was the primary cause and pointed instead to the ‘billions of dollars’ the government gave to property investors, a lack of rent caps and underinvestment in public housing.”
When the Greens say the government gave “billions of dollars … to property investors”, they’re talking about ordinary business deductions such as interest on commercial loans – not some subsidy funded by taxpayers like wind and solar electricity installations get.
“Rent caps” are pure communism and have exacerbated housing supply problems everywhere they’ve been tried because investors are forced out of the market by costs exceeding income and those homes go to owner-occupiers.
“Underinvestment in public housing” is subjective because if we weren’t crush-loading Australia with migrants there wouldn’t be as much demand for public housing; and every time the government builds a home an investor would’ve built in a fairer marketplace it takes money that could’ve gone to a hospital.
The Liberals work slowly to collapse the Australian economy, Labor works a little faster, but if the Greens were in charge they’d fly it into the ground overnight.
If you want to return to prosperity, it can’t even begin to happen until we get all three of these incompetent, ill-educated, brainwashed, anti-Australian groups out of our parliaments.

The Liberals accelerated the process by signing onto the globalists’ Covid overreaction – and we’re learning the “cookers” were right all along there.
Now Labor is nailing the economic coffin lid down by signing onto the globalists’ immigrant tsunami – who are expected to become a permanent left-wing vote-herd.
The big question is, why are the Labor-Liberal duopoly implementing the will of unelected foreign globalists and not the will of the Australian people?

Over the years, I’ve written extensively on the subjects covered by the Cairns Post’s editorial, (It’s time to stump up, 10/05).
An alternative to the Kuranda range road, a new water supply dam, a port upgrade, and better inland roads are all vital projects.
However, based on our shared experience, the Labor and Liberal parties cannot be expected to deliver on any of them.
To do so would require them to reverse their delusional core philosophical positions on climate, energy, and environmentalism.
They won’t, so there’s no point in anyone getting their hopes up.
Also, there’s only two levels of government, not three: Councils are a creation of state governments and are regulated from that level.
The Cairns Regional Council would more correctly be called the Department of Cairns.
