Re: School officer ‘assaulted’
The Editor The Cairns Post
Whether it’s Djarragun College (CP, 23/04) or Mareeba State High School (CP, 24/04), schools reflect the society they’re drawn from.
Society, in turn, reflects the economic, legal, and regulatory environment established by governments.
A long succession of seemingly incompetent Labor-Liberal UNiparty governments have collapsed societal values.
Families, churches, and community groups have been systematically disempowered; the UNiparty has inserted itself into the voids it created - and then abjectly failed to fill them.
However, governments all around the world are doing the same things so it’s not incompetence – they’re working to a plan.
Everyone over 50 can remember the values we had that made societies successful - and they’ve all been undermined by the UNiparty.
We can’t fix this until we reject the UNiparty.

Re: Eyes in the skies reduce crime rate
The Editor The Cairns Post
Older readers will clearly remember having much less crime way back before we had police helicopters, (Eyes in the skies reduce crime rate, 24/04).
Back then, crime came with consequences; when criminals took the rights of others they lost their own rights to freedom.
Now, after decades of Labor-Liberal UNiparty pandering to vested interests, nobody is safe on the street or in their home or workplace.
This isn’t impossible to fix, but the UNiparty has displayed no intention to fix it; they only need to reverse what they’ve done.
If you want to be safe in your streets, your home, and your workplace, you need to vote the UNiparty out of your government.

Re: PM calls out men in wake of death
The Editor The Cairns Post
Once again Anthony Albanese reveals himself as an intellectual lightweight and a divisive influence in Australian society, (PM calls out men in wake of death, 24/04).
It’s not up to individual men to intervene in the domestic affairs of others; in fact, doing so is fraught with peril at every level.
The pressures on families that result in domestic violence are often created or exacerbated by government policies.
Albanese’s Labor government has done more than most to increase those pressures.
If Albanese wants to find someone to blame for the uptick in violence against women he needs only to look in the mirror.
