SA led the way by blowing up their coal stations, now they depend on coal power from Victoria when the sun goes down. And gas. And sometimes diesel!
The widget is one of the best weapons we have in the energy debate and I am grateful that the zealots at RenewEconomy keep it up.
The top bars are the generation mix and the bottom bar is the demand in the state, so you can see at a glance the mendicant states.
This is the link, of course it changes dramatically when the sun comes up, but it is the nights that kill the possibility of the transition.
