To comment on “F1 guns join race to save the Reef”, 30/03
--
Once again, we see the Cairns Post run an alarmist-sponsored attack on the Reef, and by extension the Reef tourism industry that is so central to the local economy that supports the newspaper, without any effort to balance the alarmism with facts, (“F1 guns join race to save the Reef”, 30/03).
The Reef does not need “saving”. If it ever did, that task was successfully achieved decades ago. It’s now the best-protected, healthiest, and most pristine marine ecosystem on the planet. It has the most extensive coral cover it’s had in the history of Reef research, as even AIMS had to admit.
Telling the world that it needs “saving” implies it’s at risk. That gives potential visitors pause to rethink visiting at all. That directly harms the advertisers the Cairns Post relies on for revenue and puts its employees' jobs at risk.
The Reef cannot and will not be harmed by warmer temperatures. The warmer it is, the happier coral is. The warmest waters have the most corals, the coldest waters have the fewest corals. Only the sun can control water temperature – not humanity’s puny “emissions”.
Warming is a moot point anyway, because historical temperature data that has not been “homogenised” by alarmist activists at BOM and its equivalents around the world show that the climate is cooling. Cooling, by the way, is worse for all life than warming.
Additionally, hydrocarbon fuels are not “fossil fuels”. They were never fossils. That was an invention by J.D. Rockefeller in 1892 designed to create the illusion of scarcity and drive up the price of a product that his company controlled access to.
The hydrocarbon compounds we use as fuels are a natural product, they’re found on other planets even within this solar system, and oil is the second most common liquid after water. We’ll never run out of hydrocarbons because they’re being formed within the planet continually.
Modern civilisation is entirely dependent on hydrocarbon fuels and there’s no alternative to them. The people demonising and attacking them are the very same people who have publicly stated they want fewer humans – particularly white Westerners.
In 2024, many of us know that newspapers are controlled by anti-humanist billionaire eugenicist Malthusian depopulationists, so we read them only to see what our self-proclaimed overlords are projecting onto the disengaged vote-herds – and it’s the same old garbage every day.
At this point, anyone still working for a newspaper and still attacking and undermining the society that they themselves live in and depend on is part of a suicidal death cult. It’d be easier for your friends and family in the long term if you threw yourselves under buses today.
