To comment on “Autumn warning as heat to linger”, 04/03 --The only reason the Bureau of Meteorology can claim that 2023-2034 had the “third-warmest summer on record” is because activists within it have “homogenised” the records of the past, (“Autumn warning as heat to linger”, 04/03).
To “homogenise” a record is to change it, which almost universally means artificially cooling the past without legitimate justification. Tony Abbott was deposed as Prime Minister because he set up an audit into BOM’s changing of historic temperature records.
His replacement’s first action was to cancel the BOM audit.
That’s how much money is behind the global warming scare campaign – they can eliminate any threat to their narrative. The only place you’ll learn about Australia’s much-hotter 1890s is in the National Library’s historic newspapers on trove.nla.gov.au – while they last.

Re: Water woes hit new level
The Editor The Cairns Post
It’s ridiculous for Wet Tropics communities to be suffering “rolling water stoppages,” (Water woes hit new level, 28/02).
Douglas Shire’s water supply issues aren’t a new or emerging problem, they’re now decades old.
About twenty years ago, the Port Douglas fire truck was one of the few in Queensland that had to carry filters to prevent damage to the pump when tapping into town-water fire hydrants.
Councils are creations of state governments and can only do what the state government permits them to do.
The blame for the inaction on fixing the third-world water supply in Douglas Shire rests squarely with the Labor party.
If Labor could fix it, they would have.
It’s time to vote Labor out and give someone else a go.

Re: Road’s future at risk
The Editor The Cairns Post
Labor’s been in office for most of the last 35 years and in that time the Kuranda Range Road’s level of service has dropped incrementally, (Road’s future at risk, 04/03).
Labor’s 1999 Integrated Transport Study for the Kuranda Range Road only considered it as a local road servicing the Kuranda area rather than as a regional highway used by residents and businesses from the Tablelands, Gulf, and Cape.
Labor has had little interest in it since 1999, except to build an overpriced spy camera network that has self-evidently not improved the efficiency of the route.
Labor doesn’t really care about it because it’s mainly used by residents of just two electorates, Cook and Hill – they’d prefer to upgrade roads in the southeast where residents of many more electorates can see them.
Labor governs for Brisbane; if FNQ wants influence in parliament we need to dump Labor and elect a bloc of One Nation MPs.

The cold climate bomb
The Editor The Cairns Post The global political left has invested vast sums into scaring people about warmer weather and more CO2 as a means of political and economic control. They never mention that warmth is better for all life; just consider the number of species living in Antarctica compared to New Guinea. They won’t talk about the fact that most of the CO2 comes from the oceans or that globally twice the area of Australia has been colonised by forests due to that CO2 during the satellite era. They definitely won’t discuss what Yale University researchers are describing as a “cold climate bomb”, the Beaufort Gyre in the Arctic Ocean that periodically dumps fresh water into the Atlantic. That freshwater dump has in the past disrupted the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC); the ocean currents that keep Europe warm. The collapse of the AMOC would trigger rapid and dramatic global cooling, which would increase storm intensity and frequency, disrupt farming, and make renewables useless. A warmer world has never been something to be afraid of but a colder world is genuinely dangerous to everyone. In a colder world we’ll need a lot of coal-fired power stations to survive, including the ones that the Labor and Liberal parties are presently shutting down. It’s time to let go of the globalists’ global warming delusion and the anti-scientific politics of the Liberals and Labor.
To survive the cold you’ll need the coal and nuclear power that One Nation will deliver for you.

Sorry, Michael Miller, but if Facebook drives a stake through News Corp’s heart it will have no measurable effect on Australians, much less “a devastating impact”, because we can still get our mainstream media brainwashing, which you call “reliable and trusted news” from the taxpayer-funded ABC.
Your customers would have more sympathy for your plight if you hadn’t been working so hard to present just one side of all the important public discussions for decades now, i.e., Covid, climate, and renewables. You’ve gone out of your way to suppress the truth in many areas, and that has come at a direct cost in lives (Covid’s “safe and effective” injections) and household budgets (“cheaper renewables”).
You’re the author of your own misfortune, Mr Miller, because of your editorial bias, and while Facebook steals your intellectual property we’ll remember your silence on China doing the same in every field of human endeavour.

Re: Labor pledges budget relief
The Editor The Cairns Post
“More help for Aussie households being crushed by the rising cost of living is on the way, the government has said,” (Labor pledges budget relief, 04/03).
The cost-of-living crisis was created by the ScoMo Liberal government’s Covid overreaction and has been supercharged by the Albo Labor government’s climate and energy policies.
Any tax cuts won’t offset that inflation and the inflation won’t end without massive policy reversals, which neither Labor nor the Liberals are capable of.
Aussies have seen too many baseless pseudoscientific claims used in formulating our two major political parties’ suspiciously overlapping policies, and far too many broken political promises.
The cost of energy dictates the cost of everything else and prices and inflation cannot come down under the Labor and Liberal parties’ policies.
Only One Nation has the policies to curb inflation and return Australia to prosperity.
