Discussions about fluoride should include the “cons” as well as the “pros”, but I’ve tried three times to get the Cairns Post to mention a meta-analysis of fluoride-related health problems without success, (Letters, 21/02). As we’ve seen so many times, our once trusted “local” media outlet is now a cog in the pharmaceutical industry’s mind-control machine.
So let’s look at a different angle of the fluoride non-debate: cost. Would it be cheaper to fluoridate every drop of a water supply, even those drops used to wash cars and water gardens? Or would it be cheaper to add it to bottled water and make that free to pick up from Council facilities for those who want it?
We know the answer to that, but it doesn’t create the huge artificial market for hydrofluorosilicic acid, a waste product from alumina refining and phosphate fertiliser production, which cannot legally be dumped into the environment and is costly to dispose of. Instead, it will be dumped into your water supply, while those with loyalties to the profiteers swear that a neurotoxin is good for your children’s teeth.

Impacts of Fluoride Neurotoxicity and Mitochondrial Dysfunction on Cognition and Mental Health: A Literature Review
This review focuses on the synthesis of current experimental and observational data regarding the effect of fluoride exposure on childhood mental health and the role of mitochondrial function as a mechanism of action. We aggregated data on the relationships ...
