Re: State of inequality, Greens accused of home hypocrisy
The Editor The Cairns Post
QCOSS and Anglicare are right to be concerned about homelessness, but neither the ALP nor the LNP have the policies to fix it, (State of inequality, 17/02).
State Labor could return balance to the Residential Tenancies Act to entice Mum and Dad investors back, which would ease rental scarcity, but it won’t.
It could ease up on development restrictions and climate-related construction regulations to increase land availability and reduce building costs, but it won’t.
It could prevail on its federal branch to cut immigration to Net Zero, in line with One Nation’s policy, which would reduce unnatural competition for housing, but it won’t.
Instead, because of Labor’s dependence on Green preferences, they’ll probably attack negative gearing, drive even more investors away, and make homelessness worse, (Greens accused of home hypocrisy, 17/02).
Renters and investors are both being punished by Labor: only One Nation has solutions to the problems Labor has created.

Peter,
As we know, the 'Greens' are the vicious left wing of the communists with no difference to the 'Red' vicious right wing of the communists.
There next ploy, and it has already been talked up by the lapdog 'chatterati', is taxing residents out of ownership of there home "which is too big for 1 or 2 people" and shoving them in a coffin pod.
No one talks about who gets the idyllic leafy suburban dacha though!
Funny about that.

To comment on “Minns: ‘Nats are getting weird’”, 17/02 --
Solar panels and wind turbines are a “solution” that cannot work for a problem that doesn’t exist, Premier Minns, (“Minns: ‘Nats are getting weird’”, 17/02). They cannot provide dependable baseload power, so they cannot replace coal. They cannot “reduce carbon” because they never offset as much carbon as is released in making them. “Carbon” cannot trap heat, so it can't control the global temperature. Renewables are a money laundering scheme based on left-wing mythology.
The Nationals are against wind and solar because of the environmental destruction they cause in rural areas. The only “weird” aspect of that is that the self-professed environmentalist Greens aren’t fighting alongside them.
If we want to talk about “getting weird”, let’s discuss Labor’s attempts to make electricity unaffordable for the working class and all the workers who will lose their jobs when the reckless rush to renewables results in electricity rationing and rolling blackouts.

All government buildings and offices should have all power disconnected now because that's what they promise is our future.
