We’ll Get to the Bottom of This
Well, today and tomorrow Anthony Fauci testifies in private to a House of Representatives Subcommittee on the virus response. This could get extremely interesting. There is so much to know. Despite the whole of the establishment in all sectors wanting this whole topic to go away, we all know the truth. It was the turning point in our lives. We deserve answers and accountability.
We are slowly getting there but it is up to all of us to make it so. Over the weekend, Tucker Carlson dropped a fantastic interview with Bret Weinstein that explored some major issues. It reached many millions. Thank goodness for the alternative press, don’t you agree?
Our partner organization FLCCC is holding a very important event on February 2-4, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona, including many writers for Brownstone. We have a special discount code that is good until January 15 for you to use. Some of us will be there, and it would be wonderful to meet and plot.
As for our supper club in West Hartford, CT, on the 17th, tickets are moving fast and there is a limit, obviously. This is the event with Tiffany Justice that our previous events provider decided was too…something. So they attempted to cancel it. Didn’t work. It’s still a go but we are hosting the registration ourselves. Live and learn.
Here is some content since our last email:
Racism, Anti-Semitism, Genocide, and Eugenics in the COVID Era By Steven Kritz. Over the past couple of years, the presentations I have seen have become, in my opinion, too caught up in left-wing/right-wing rhetoric, with a large majority of the slings and arrows directed at the right, such that the key historical lessons, in my opinion, have been missed. Given my belief that this country is divided in ways that have not been seen since the Civil War, this type of public discourse is only making matters worse.
The Great Taking Exposes the Financial End Game By Bert Olivier. One of the very best exposés of the covert, very well-hidden, bellicose attempts to rob all of humanity – barring the miniscule number of psychotic individuals comprising the inimical opposition – of their material possessions and their ‘immaterial’ freedom, was published fairly recently. It is accurately titled The Great Taking (2023), and was written by David Webb, one of the most courageous and finance-savvy authors I have ever come across.
Reflections on the Bret Weinstein Interview By Jeffrey Tucker. Tucker Carlson has conducted a brilliant interview with biologist and podcaster Bret Weinstein, who has been on the Covid case for a very long time. Weinstein speaks with erudition, expertise, and great precision about a number of features of the Covid response. Mercifully, Tucker lets him speak. I urge you to take an hour and watch the entire episode.
Hope in the Heart of Winter By Haley Kynefin. Hiraeth may, indeed, embody a romantic, and at times overly mythical, sense of melancholy. But it is also a longing for some sort of vision conjured from the memory or from the imagination. In short, it is a longing for something for some sort of treasured ideal—and that ideal just might help us begin to imagine, and then to construct, the kind of world we do want to inhabit.
A Nation of Non-Compliers By Jeffrey Tucker. We long ago gave up the hope that all of this is random and coincidental, any more than it so happened that nearly every government in the world decided to plaster social distancing signs everywhere at the same time. Something is going on, something malevolent. The battle of the future really is between them and us but who or what “them” is remains opaque and too many of “us” are still confused about what the alternative is to what is happening all around us.
When Did the Virus Really Arrive in Italy? By Will Jones. One thing we can do is attempt to glean new insights from the data we already have, and perhaps one day, when the current crop of suspiciously uninterested leaders has moved on, the trail will be picked up again by sincere people who want to get to the truth and have the resources to do it.
The Big Fail…Failed: A Review By Mark Oshinskie. Ultimately, the authors properly observe that the lockdowns made no sense and that closing schools hurt kids badly. But this should have been foreseen from Day 1. What were the Big Fail’s authors, their employer—the New York Times—and similarly-situated others saying 45 months ago, when it mattered?
A Firestorm Will Come to the Court in 2024 By Bobbie Anne Flower Cox. This year I suffered the most significant and unbelievable legal upset of my 25-year-career thus far, when the New York State Appellate Division overturned my “quarantine camp” lawsuit victory over Governor Kathy Hochul and her Department of Health on a fabricated technicality!
The Dark Side of the Force Isn’t Actually Paved in Black By Bill Rice. The analogy that Star Wars fans do not get is that the Evil Empire could be equated to the real rulers of the earth today. “The Resistance” might equate to the 10 percent of world citizens who are fighting back in the face of overwhelming odds. Why don’t more people understand who the Evil Empire really is…and who are really the Good Guys fighting back?
The Final Countdown to CBDC By Aaron Day. Though a work of fiction, this story draws inspiration from surveillance technologies that pervade our world today. If left unchecked, the scenario painted within this first chapter could become a hauntingly accurate reflection of life in the not-so-distant future. This book aims to shed light on the truth behind the tale, unearthing the grand designs to bring such a reality into existence—even in places like the United States. More importantly, the bulk of this book seeks to equip you with the knowledge and tools necessary to combat this burgeoning tyranny. The time to act is now; the power to change the course of our future lies within our grasp.
The Real Purge in Academia By Jeffrey Tucker. We have certainly lived through the decline and fall of the older idea of the university. Now we may yet live to see the end of the university itself and its replacement by something else entirely. Reforms can work but the reform will not likely come from within the institutions. They must be imposed by alumni and perhaps legislatures. Or perhaps the rule of “Go woke, go broke” will eventually force a change. Regardless, the idea of learning itself will surely return. We are in the transition, and David Barnhizer is our Virgil to give us an outstanding tour of the wreckage left behind and perhaps even a path out of the darkness.
A Field Guide to Dubious Fact-Checking By Thomas Buckley. To simplify deception detection, here are a few very common and very slippery techniques the fact-checkers use to twist the truth into a lie – and vice-versa – to always look out for.
The Toilet Paper Canard By Jeffrey Tucker. Lately I’ve been hearing that we had to lock down because the nation was in a panic as evidenced by the famous toilet paper shortage of the Spring of 2020. It’s not clear how this is supposed to work. How does a toilet paper shortage indicate the presence of a killer disease that can be mitigated by shutting everything down?
Why are so Many Californians Dying? By Thomas Buckley. Despite the protestations of certain officials, the state’s death rate has NOT returned to “pre-Covid” levels – in 2019 the year before the pandemic, 270,000 people died with a population at least 400,000 greater than today. Why?
We Often Imitate What We Say We Oppose By Thomas Harrington. “How to struggle for justice without becoming what we claim to despise in our opponents?” That is the question. How well or poorly we as activists and idea-makers respond to this challenge in the short term will, I believe, go a long way toward predicting our long-term chances of building the more cohesive and human-centered culture we all desire for ourselves and our children.
Kristina Borjesson: Rest in Peace to a Brave Investigator By Meryl Nass. In 2002 I did not know the extent of media malfeasance. Kristina, however, documented it in the most careful, credible and unbelievable way—collecting many chapters by top journalists of the stories they tried to report and how they lost their careers when they attempted to tell the truth. She lost her career at CBS, trying to tell the truth about the midair explosion of a 747 (TWA 800) over Long island Sound, which was probably the result of a US Navy exercise gone awry.
The Hero’s Voice is Within Your Reach By Mike Fairclough. Having incurred some rather brutal personal losses, including my career, I am unable to pretend that speaking out is easy. This is why people self-censor. It is definitely safer to stay silent in the short term. But what are the long-term consequences of our silence? Could, for example, the horrors of Nazi Germany and the persecution of the Jews be repeated if people are silent en-mass about anti-Semitism? Of course, you know the chilling answer to that question.
The Diabolical Dozen: My Twelve ‘Most-Significant Covid Events’ By Bill Rice. I occasionally enjoy publishing “List” articles. To me, these essays can provide larger context on important topics and can assist writers in their quest to connect dots that identify the key events that explain how we got to our “Twilight Zone” New Normal. Today’s list is “The Dozen Most Important/Significant Events of Covid.”
Hope Matters in Our War By Bert Olivier. Just as we find ourselves in ‘dark years’ at present, we cannot afford to believe for a moment that the technocratic cabal has succeeded in determining, once and for all, what our future will be – that of slaves in their AI-controlled, neo-fascist, feudal dystopia. We are free human beings, and by doing the ‘work of hope’ by seizing on opportunities that are latent in the world, to challenge them with courage, we shall prevail.
We are slowly getting there but it is up to all of us to make it so. Over the weekend, Tucker Carlson dropped a fantastic interview with Bret Weinstein that explored some major issues. It reached many millions. Thank goodness for the alternative press, don’t you agree?
