Re: Safer home for surf club now step closer
The Editor The Cairns Post
The federal Labor-Liberal twins are helping the Ellis Beach Surf Life Saving Club build a new clubhouse at sea level, (Safer home for surf club now step closer, 04/12).
I guess they only believe in rising seas due to global warming when that suits their political ends.
If they genuinely believed their own hot air, wouldn’t they be putting the new clubhouse on the hillside with a pedestrian bridge over the road to the beach?

Re: Jail is no place for our ‘bad’ children
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
The QCOSS CEO says, “Evidence shows us that the younger a child is when they are detained, the more likely they are to go on and commit offences,” (Jail is no place for our ‘bad’ children, 04/12).
The fact that they were detained says they were engaged in criminal activity and that, not the act of being detained, is why they’ll commit more crimes.
No amount of circular reasoning will distract the voting public from the fact that these young criminals learn all about committing crime before they’re ever detained.
What the voting public want is to feel safe in their own homes.
Criminals at any age who assault others or invade their homes give up their right to be free within the community.
The greatest good is served to the majority of people by removing criminals from the community – regardless of their age.
Labor has completely failed in law and order and their twins at the LNP will be no better: it’s time to give someone else a go.

Re: ALP must get the message
The Editor The Courier Mail
There is precisely net zero chance that Labor “emerges in the new year with a suite of cost-of-living measures to ease household woes,” (ALP must get the message, 04/12).
That’s because the ALP doesn’t understand how we ever became a prosperous nation, which was by harnessing our abundant hydrocarbon fuels.
As long as the Labor-Liberal twins suppress hydrocarbon usage, the cost-of-living crisis will continue to worsen.
That suppression of hydrocarbons is completely pointless because even if CO2 could “trap heat” (it can’t), China and India are increasing their usage many times faster than Western countries are reducing it.
All the pain Labor is inflicting on us won’t change the climate but it will eventually destroy the economy we all rely on and our remnant prosperity with it.
If we want prosperity back it starts by ejecting the Labor-Liberal twins from our parliaments.
