To comment on “Focus of fire shifts to west”, 04/11 -There was a time when government-controlled bushland was properly maintained by the departments who controlled it.
Now that’s not always the case and we see these big fires fed by unmanaged fuel-loads spreading onto privately-owned land and destroying homes, (“Focus of fire shifts to west”, 04/11).
It raises a pertinent question. If a bunch of schoolkids can take an action in court to stop coal mine development, then why can't ordinary people take a class action against, say, the State Minister for Resources for negligence for any loss and damages caused by preventable uncontrolled wildfires on government-controlled lands?

Re: ‘Vigilante justice’ warning
The Editor The Cairns Post
Just in case you’re wondering who is driving the obvious collapse of moral standards and the rule of law in this nation, consider “‘Vigilante justice’ warning,” (CP, 04/11).
Six months prison is manifestly inadequate for a child sex offender when innocent babies are murdered in full-term abortions and grandparents are urged to suicide instead of receiving palliative care with full government support, (See “The system isn’t broke it is crook” by Vikki Campion, Daily Telegraph, 04/11).
Why do “our” ALP-LNP twins support paedophiles over innocent babies and the senior citizens who built this country?
Because they’re not working for us: they’re working for the sick satanic globalist death cult.

Re: Mal cleans up on Reef
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
Politicians would never establish policies and funds with a view to making a quick buck at taxpayers’ expense, right?
The world's best GBR marine sedimentologist, Professor Peter Ridd, has clearly said that terrestrial outflow only reaches small parts of the Reef during the most extreme flood events.
Nonetheless, as PM, Malcolm Turnbull directed vast sums of our money to stopping what doesn’t get there anyway.
Now we’re reading that he’s making big bucks from that, (Mal cleans up on Reef, 04/11).
There’s nothing to see here: move along!
