It's impressive in a way: despite spending $400+ million and having the support of wealthy aborigines, mega-corporations, unions, sporting codes, celebrities, the media, and the entire left-wing hivemind, Albo still lost the Voice referendum. Not many elected leaders could take such a drubbing and still have the chutzpah to sneer at the public. Higgs, Tolga
I'm reading that Anthony Albanese spent nearly half a billion dollars of our money on the Voice and got nothing but political and racial division for it. Why is he still allowed to be the national leader after such a spectacular misjudgement? Would he still be allowed to stay on as a CEO if he'd wasted a company's money like that? JS, Edge Hill

Nearly two weeks after squandering $460,000,000 of our money, Albo still hasn't apologised or resigned. Just go, Albo: we're done with you. Higgs, Tolga
Malcolm Turnbull's Snowy 2.0 renewables storage project started in 2019 and was supposed to cost $2bn and be finished by now. It's presently 0.8% complete, cost has blown out to $12bn, and at this rate it won't be finished until 2041. Only people that believe in fairy tales could support any climate or renewables projects. The bitter Yes campaigners love to say, “sovereignty was never ceded.” This is a ridiculous reinvention. If you’re knocked out cold in the first round of a boxing match, as the Australian aboriginals were when the British arrived, you’ve ceded whether you admit it or not. Higgs, Tolga
John Phillips (CP, 26/10), Clive Palmer isn’t rich enough to match the $100 million per day we already spend on aborigines. Where does that money go? #Audit23. JS, Edge Hill
If the Defence Force is “struggling to meet recruitment targets” (TB, 26/10), maybe it should relax vaccine mandates instead of fitness standards. JS, Edge Hill
Just like bicycles, it’s time for e-scooters to be registered (GCB, 26/10). Riders just need to wear a vest with their rego number printed on the back. “Share the road, share the rules, share the load.” JS

Australia wouldn’t have “lost a billion native animals” to bushfire if we still managed our bushland properly. We stopped doing that when green academics said they knew better. Juss Sayen, Cairns

Nobody believes Annastasi Palaszczuk alone decides Labor policy (28/10), but just watch Labor throw her under the bus and blame her for Qld’s mess so they can dodge responsibility for what they all did. Higgs, Tolga
The most fearsome weapon isn’t a gun or a bomb, it’s the control of information. To control the worlds’ information is to manipulate every mind that consumes it. Albo is trying to control information with his misinformation bill. He is weaponising information against us. JS, Edge Hill

We have more oil under Coober Pedy than the Saudis ever had, so the answer to exorbitant prices caused by global supply issues is to drill our own. But we won’t because “our” politicians don’t work for us. Higgs, Tolga
Albo seems to think that Peter Dutton convinced us all to vote No. I don’t think Dutton could convince me to turn on a light at sunset, which means Albo is delusional. JS, Edge Hill
No group in Australian history has done a worse job running this country than the Labor-Green socialists currently in charge. They’re vicious, they’re intolerant, and they’re utterly corrupt. But, above all, they’re incompetent. Woz, Parramatta Park

Groups that want to control how someone else's land is developed (CP, 02/11) need to put their money where their mouths are. If they want it preserved as is, they need to buy it. Higgs, Tolga
"Calm on Covid's eight wave", 02/11. Authorities cried wolf far too many times on Covid. Looking back, people see the damage unwarranted hysteria did. It will take decades for health authorities to restore any semblance of credibility. JS, Edge Hill
Before people get hysterical about Tablelands fires, remember 3,700 hectares is 0.01% of Far North Queensland and 0.002% of Queensland. Woz, Parramatta Park

The answer to 1984 is 1776. Juss Sayen, Cairns
Seriously? A group with "collective" in their name is going to teach toddlers about their bodies? OK, groomer. Higgs, Tolga
Catherine, (03/11), one of the world's most respected scholars, Thomas Sowell (look him up), said this about the climate scam: "Temperatures went up first, and then there was the increase in carbon dioxide. You can’t say that A causes B if B happens first. But [the scientists] who are pushing global warming are doing their damndest to make sure that those who believe the opposite don't get heard in the public." JS, Edge Hill
On day one the digital license is already another Labor IT stuff-up. But we can believe them when they claim it's safe and secure, right? Lol! Marie, Aitkenvale
It's funny how 27-year-olds almost never died of heart attacks before the government's forced injections. Is a funeral a week in Yarrabah evidence of a government genocide against aboriginal people? One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
Going by all the crashes on the Smithfield bypass its design must be faulty. Typical Labor. They should've put the overpasses over the roundabouts like we were promised. Woz, Parramatta Park
