Re: Sparks fly in electric bill row
The Editor The Sunday Mail
The “cost-of-living rebate” that the Queensland government is “providing” is merely a redistribution of our money back to us that would otherwise have gone to police, hospitals, or schools, (Sparks fly in electric bill row, 29/10).
Governments have no money of their own – they only have money they take from us.
The cost of energy (electricity, coal, oil, and gas) drives the cost of everything else in modern society, and it’s extortionate because of Queensland and federal government policies.
Instead of taking money from hospitals to help us pay our stupidly high electricity bills, “our” representatives could simply reverse the climate policies that have caused extortionate energy prices.
Even if CO2 did control climate (it doesn’t) the hand on the control knob is Chinese – and they aren’t stupid enough to follow our “leadership”.
It makes you wonder exactly who “our” elected representatives are really working for.

Re: Bathtub pulls plug on homes
The Editor The Sunday Telegraph
For proof, if you needed it, that governments are working to exacerbate the housing crisis, consider the cancellation of plans to build new homes in northwest Sydney, (Bathtub pulls plug on homes, 29/10).
Because of the potential for flooding over a few days every 500 years, sorely needed homes won’t be built at all.
It’s ludicrous to suggest that the authorities have never seen old “Queenslander” homes that were built on tall stumps to put them above flood reach.
It’s ridiculous to think they’ve never heard of flood mitigation dams, which usually include some general use water storage.
So why have governments deliberately created this housing crisis with stupid development rules and ridiculous immigration settings?
Well, the plan is to force people into shoebox apartments in high-rise towers in the WEF’s preferred 15-minutes cities.
You’ll own nothing and you'll be happy. Comrades.
