Re: Limited support for Yes - No alternative: Albanese issues stern warning on Voice as campaign heats up
The Editor The Cairns Post
Only 22 electorates out of 151 look like voting Yes and they’re all in the inner cities where voters are disconnected from reality, (Limited support for Yes, 11/10).
It seems Aussies aren’t as easy to misinform as Albo thought.
When Albo “warns” that “there will be no alternative offered” to his version of the Voice, Aussies respond with applause, (No alternative: Albanese issues stern warning on Voice as campaign heats up, 11/10).
We know our No votes aren’t “saying that what we have now is just good enough” because what Albo is offering will just make things worse.
The solution is to stop running remote aboriginal communities as socialist enclaves, but that’s not being offered.
We know Albo’s model hasn’t “been asked for, requested by First Nations people themselves”: it’s a top-down model created by activists, some of whom aren’t aboriginal or islander.
The only good thing to come from Albo’s squandering of a third of a billion dollars of our money is that about 75% of voters now know for sure that our politicians are no longer representing the majority.

Re: Bill hike possible for desal project
The Editor The Gold Coast Bulletin
To pile fiscal insult on economic injury, the Palaszczuk regime is now planning a second unneeded desalination plant, (Bill hike possible for desal project, 11/10).
The first one was built because a famous climate alarmist said that what rains fall won’t fill our dams – and then it flooded for two years.
Obviously we need more water for all the people the Albanese regime is bringing in, so let’s build more dams.
Dams have proven themselves throughout human history and are cheap to run.
Desalination plants use vast amounts of electricity, which we’re increasingly short of since all politicians decided we should switch to weak, intermittent, unreliable generators.
The last thing we need is yet another stupid government decision further impacting household budgets.
Until we eject the ALP-LNP twins from our parliaments, things are only going to get worse.

Re: Unis give time off for Voice
The Editor The Herald Sun
The hot-beds of left-wing activism we call universities are full of privileged people because only the privileged can afford to attend them, (Unis give time off for Voice, 10/11).
The indigenous staff and students at universities aren’t disadvantaged or oppressed, they’ve got the privilege-plus package.
The divisive Voice campaign and all the hostility that has come from the extreme-left Yes campaigners are the result of privileged indigenous and non-indigenous activists with university backgrounds attempting to impose their views on the rest of Australia.
It’s backfired badly.
Where I live in the Kennedy electorate in Far North Queensland, almost 85% of residents don’t want the privileged university-class leftists’ Voice – and that includes our aboriginal and islander people.
We know the solution to remote aboriginal disadvantage.
It’s to stop running communities as socialist enclaves.
But the privileged socialists behind the Voice aren’t offering that, so it’s a hard No from us.

To comment on Andrew Stimson’s letter, 11/10
-
There’s a section of society that is blinded by its own dogma, (Letters, 11/10). They claim that “fossil” fuels (which were never fossils) send money overseas but imply that foreign-owned, foreign-built wind and solar installations don’t. That requires an incredible level of delusion. Our hydrocarbon fuel industry could be 100% domestic except for sellout Labor and Liberal politicians exporting our industries in obedience to the UN’s 1975 Lima Declaration. Wind and solar will never provide cheap, reliable energy. They’re not intended to. They’re intended to collapse our economy.
The climate is controlled by the sun and the galactic electromagnetic field. It has nothing to do with CO2. We can be sure “climate change” is a fake scare because the globalists who push that myth never come out against war. There’s a fresh war in the Middle East, which will generate vast quantities of CO2, and there’s not a peep from the climate-alarm industrial complex.
Give it up, alarmists: there’s more important issues to worry about, like the globalists flooding our country with military-age male immigrants, introducing digital control-matrix currency, and collapsing our electricity grid with unaffordable intermittent electricity.
