To respond to Harvey of Westcourt, 02/10 -In order to “know thine enemy”, I visit left-wing extremist websites such as project-syndicate.org to read their primary sources. One such senior left-wing hive-mind source recently wrote an essay that Harvey of Westcourt, (CP, 02/10), would heartily applaud. In 924 words, this senior leftist conflated climate change and the Ukraine war and made 13 provably false claims about the former and 15 about the latter. He concludes that it’s vital for Ukraine (actually NATO) to defeat Russia so the world can “concentrate on its biggest problem, climate change”. Who was this spreader of fear and falsehoods? None other than the man behind the flooding of the US and EU with unassimilable military-age male foreigners – George Soros. George Soros ultimately decides what Harvey of Westcourt says in the Cairns Post.
If Harvey hates Australia so much and wants to fight climate change, he should volunteer to fight Russia in Ukraine. Jennifer Short Edge Hill

To comment on “Alarm at fire red tape”, “Up in smoke”, 02/10 -Not mentioned in the report and commentary on dwindling RFS and SES volunteer numbers, (“Alarm at fire red tape”, “Up in smoke”, 02/10), were the vaccine mandates or the endless loop of repeating boring basic training which has the sole purpose of covering Brisbane bureaucrats asses. Volunteers are usually smart enough to make their own decisions on their personal medical needs and to remember basic training for many years without need for refreshers. As to the blue card mandates, RFS members can serve for decades without ever encountering a child in their volunteer role. All of these anti-volunteer efforts have been deliberately introduced by our anti-Australian governments who are, at the same time, failing to control fire fuel-loads on government-controlled land and making it harder for private landholders to manage theirs.
If they were trying to create worse bushfires to blame on “climate change”, how would it look different? Jennifer Short Edge Hill

RE: Senator’s warning for Joyce
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
While a lot of us would be happy to see Alan Joyce in jail (Senator’s warning for Joyce, 02/10), as Senator McKenzie has noted, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Transport Minister Catherine King also need to be held accountable.
It appears that Joyce, Albanese, and King colluded to block Qatar’s bid to increase flight capacity to Australia, which came at a direct cost to Australian travellers.
This is only one example of the government and corporations conspiring together to harm Australians: don’t get me started on Covid or climate change.
Never forget, Mussolini described the merging of corporate and government power as fascism, which is precisely what we’re experiencing now.

RE: The empty nests are filling back up again
The Editor The Daily Telegraph
Did you vote for policies that have resulted in adult children having to move back in with their parents due to housing and cost-of-living crises, (The empty nests are filling back up again)?
If you voted for the ALP, LNP, Greens, or Teals then you absolutely did.
The ALP-LNP twins and their Greens-Teals collaborators have implemented all the policies that led to this situation, which extreme-left globalist leader George Soros calls a “polycrisis”.
They’re attacking our food and water security with climate dogma and by refusing to build dams.
They’re attacking our energy security with climate dogma and “renewables” and by refusing to mine our abundant coal, oil, and gas.
They’re attacking our prosperity with draconian regulations, excessive taxation, and flagrantly wasteful spending.
They’re attacking our health with mandates for injections which have proved to be neither safe nor effective and by sacking the health workers who saw that obvious fact early.
They’re attacking our peace with their support for the corrupt Nazi-aligned regime in Ukraine.
They’re attacking our societal cohesion with their endless imports of unassimilable migrants.
IMHO, the UNiparty and their corporate allies aren’t working for our betterment – they’re implementing our genocide.

RE: City ready to fly into the future
The Editor The Herald Sun
Small, lightweight, remote-controlled, battery-electric aircraft work quite well but have very limited operating duration due to battery life measured in minutes, (City ready to fly into the future, 02/10).
This technology is not readily scaleable to full-size passenger-carrying aircraft.
When a tradie can take a battery the size and weight of a credit card to work and run all his tools and his ute from it for the day is when battery-electric aircraft will become viable.
The physics and chemistry constraints for such a miracle battery are insurmountable in the real world.
So the dreamers can dream about their “vertiport” if they want to but no taxpayers’ money should be spent on it because it’s going to remain a dream for a very long time.

To comment on “Extinction extremists nothing more than bullies”, 02/10
DT – To comment on “Extinction extremists nothing more than bullies”, 02/10 HS – To comment on “A cause or a licence to bully?”, 02/10 -
I’d go further than Andrew Bolt has on the bullies on our left, (“Extinction extremists nothing more than bullies”, 02/10). There are now whole overlapping layers of high-wealth, high-status individuals in governments, corporations, and academic institutions who are not only bullies who believe in a range of concepts that are simply untrue but who feel righteous in using their positions to impose their destructive beliefs on everyone else.
They believe that men can morph into women, that 0.04% of the atmosphere can trap enough heat to cause “global boiling”, that weak, expensive, intermittent electricity generators can substitute for strong, cheap, reliable power sources, that a central authority can determine what all of humanity should do about their health, and that adults who are sexually attracted to children aren’t paedophiles.
These people aren’t merely bullies, they are literally insane: they’re psychopaths who inhabit a fake reality of their own creation.

To comment on “Yes campaign finds Voice”, 02/10
CM – To comment on “Yes campaign finds Voice”, 02/10 -
From ground level, the Australian people have a completely different view of this referendum than do the Yes pushers campaigning from the lofty heights of the government and corporate world, (“Yes campaign finds Voice”, 02/10). We’re not seeing some idealistic plan to help disadvantaged indigenous people, we’re seeing the richest layer of society bullying and manipulating us to get something that they want. Those of us who live in the regions, who have strong connections to aboriginal communities, know that they weren’t even consulted about the Voice – activists illegitimately claiming to be acting on their behalf signed up to it.
When we go to vote and we’re mobbed and jostled, and possibly punched or spat on as occurred in Cooma recently, by Yes activists, we’re not going to reward them with the result they want. In fact, I think it’s time that last minute campaigning be banned within a kilometre of voting places, to protect the mainstream community from the insane ideological left.

To comment on daylight saving, Letters, 02/10
GCB – To comment on daylight saving, Letters, 02/10 -
Further to John Mitchell’s salient observation on the inappropriateness of clock-fiddling in tropical and sub-tropical Queensland, (Letters, 02/10), none of the reasons given for it by its proponents can withstand scrutiny. It doesn’t take an hour from Queensland traders when the temperate-zone states fiddle their clocks, it adds an hour – managers simply need to assign some staff to start earlier. It’s not difficult to deal with neighbours in different time zones – Russia has 11 time zones and manages just fine.
Those who will actually do something productive with an extra hour of roasting afternoon sunlight are a very small minority and they should simply negotiate with their employers to start and finish work an hour earlier.
And on a side note, Hitler wasn’t just a daylight saving fan, he was a huge environmentalist and loved building wind turbines. Sound familiar?

Subject line – Think it through
Sir/Madam
Dear Liberal and Labor voters. Have you thought the policies you promote all the way through? Whether you admit it or not, there are currently no replacements for the many products we make from "fossil" fuels. End those and you end food, most drinking water, sewerage, cars, trucks, trains, ships, electricity, and the internet.
What do you do when your policies cause the system you rely on to collapse? How do you feed your children? Where will you get news, medicine, information, and security? Most of you have no survival skills whatsoever. Within ten days you'll be being hunted for food by the small minority who do. That is, the demographic you disparage as "rednecks" will be eating your flabby carcass.
So think it through, Red and Blue. You are setting yourselves up to fail tragically.

Subject line – The Cloward-Piven Strategy
Sir/Madam Imagine an intentional plan to overburden government welfare, education, healthcare, and law enforcement systems. Imagine it deliberately reduced employment opportunities through over-regulation leading to businesses moving offshore while at the same time importing masses of low-skilled and unskilled labour from the third world to the point of social and economic crises. At some point the general population of any nation so afflicted by such a self-destructive set of policies would begin to blame their so-called “capitalist system” and be willing to embrace socialism to save itself from the orchestrated chaos being engineered by the communist subversives who had twisted free-market capitalism into socialist crony-capitalism. Such a plan exists and was devised in 1966 by two radical left Columbia University professors, Richard Andrew Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.
The Cloward-Piven Strategy is being implemented in Australia right now by the Liberal and Labor parties. Warren Byrnes Redlynch
