Subject line – A very disrespectful anonymous texter
Sir/Madam
A left wing texter, hiding under his magical blanket of anonymity, very disrespectfully satirised the surname of the Cairns Post’s most accurate and informative letters contributor on Wednesday 6/9, which I’m surprised and disappointed that the editors allowed.
This rude anonymous individual, calling himself “Harold, Gordonvale”, exposed his general ignorance by misspelling the names of two of author Lewis Carroll’s characters. They’re “Tweedledum and Tweedledee”, Harold, not “twiddle-dee and twiddle-dum”.
The ALP and LNP are now obviously one party as they have no discernible policy differences. I’d rather all independents in parliament getting nothing done than be led into communism by the lying commies of the ALP and LNP.
Finally, I reckon there’s net zero chance Harold would engage Peter Campion in an independently-moderated public debate. He’d lose catastrophically.

Subject line – Sounds like ahistorical revisionism to me
Sir/Madam
Ah, there it is: I’ve been waiting for the ahistorical far-left black-armband reinventionists to create an aboriginal slave story, and today we read that it’s “Time to repay the slaves of Balmoral”, (DT, 07/09). The Australian far-left are particularly unoriginal and have long been frustrated that they can’t simply adopt the slave stories from elsewhere in the world, so it was only a matter of time before they invented one.
If you know Australian history, you’ll also know that we were founded by the only culture that was eradicating slavery at that time and our governors were under strict instructions not to engage in it. There has been no state-sanctioned slavery at any time in Australia’s history, so there’s no grounds for a claim on eye-wateringly expensive land on that basis.
Domestic servants were not slaves; they were remunerated in a variety of ways and generally enjoyed a far higher standard of living that they would have otherwise. That they didn’t leave when they could have attests to that.

Subject line – Crisis is too close to home
Sir/Madam
The California housing crisis (08/09) is being replicated in every jurisdiction the globalists are trying to destroy. They’re all formerly successful capitalist societies that have been subverted by using globalist-trained activists to undermine the policy foundations that led to the earlier success. These changes to policy settings are never accepted by the majority of the voting public, but they’re imposed on them regardless of which major party gains the most ballots.
The fact that we’re seeing the exact same illogical and unpopular policies being imposed on us here in Queensland as the Californians are suffering is proof that this is a globalist agenda. So why are they doing this? They want to make state and national governments so unbearably bad that we scream for the One World Government that the globalists desperately want.

Subject line – Albo can do what Biden couldn’t, right?
Sir/Madam
Here’s some 2022 US media headlines. “Ford partner to spend $11.4B on four new plants in Tennessee, Kentucky to support EVs.” “General Motors to spend $7 billion on EV and battery plants in Michigan.” “Chrysler parent Stellantis to build $4B EV battery plant in Windsor; 2nd plant coming to U.S.” “Biden in Detroit to tout his electric vehicle accomplishments.”
Here’s some from 2023. “Ford is losing almost $60,000 for every EV it sells.” “Sub-$40,000 EVs can’t yet be profitable, says GM CEO.” “EV makers losing hundreds of thousands of dollars on every car.” “Auto execs still aren’t convinced about electric cars.”
More from 2023. “Unsold electric cars are piling up on dealer lots.” “No one in the U.S. really wants to buy electric vehicles.” “Biden’s electric vehicle push doomed to failure, warn carmakers.” “GM completes hat-trick of Big Three car companies shedding workers.”
But that won’t happen here, right? Albo can do it despite Biden’s failure, right? Lol!
