Under our Constitutional Monarchy system of democracy, politicians are elected to serve the will of the people with the consent of the monarch.
If the people do not will it, our representatives must not do it and the monarch must not consent to it.
However, every level of government is now ignoring the will of the people as it’s glaringly obvious we don’t want rampant criminals, (‘How did we get here?’, 23/08).
Our two major parties are ignoring us in lockstep, which indicates that they no longer serve our will and are not representing us.
The monarch’s representatives, the state governors and the Governor-General, are similarly dismissive of our will.
The questions to answer are these; who are they serving, and how do we end their destructive reign and return our society to normality?
