Everyone except the Palaszczuk Labor government knows the causes and the solutions for the CBD’s homelessness problem, (CBD issues according to Liral group, 25/07).
It makes you wonder why Palaszczuk and Co seem so wilfully deaf and ignorant on this and many other issues.
It’s as if they’re taking their advice from someone other than us, their voters, whom they’re meant to represent.
I often wonder who they’re really serving and if those mysterious entities will be employing them when they inevitably get booted from politics.

To comment on “Things are heating up”, 25/07- If one reads John Pratt’s letters as climate alarm parodies they make a lot more sense, (“Things are heating up”, 25/07). Only a parody account could claim there’s a marine heatwave off northeast Queensland in the depths of winter. Only a parody account could be unaware that the IPCC has found no evidence that marine heatwaves are in any way linked to what they call a “climate crisis”, as Table 12.12 on page 1856 in Chapter 12 of the IPCC’s AR6 report at this link, www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/downloads/report/IPCC_AR6_WGI_Chapter12.pdf, shows very clearly. When the IPCC, the organisation established “to find the human fingerprint on climate”, can’t link a given phenomena to CO2, the only plausible reason for doing so is parody. One of the biggest lies ever told was that oil and gas are made from fossils, (“NAIF ‘no fossil fuel fund’”, 25/07). The instigator of that lie was oilman J.D. Rockefeller who, in 1892, bribed scientists to say oil and gas were fossils in order to create unwarranted concerns about scarcity which allowed him to price gouge.
Oil and gas are typically drawn from twice the depth at which the oldest known fossil was found, a fact lost on those who repeat the lie. Coal is found much closer to the surface as it is old peat beds that have been hydrogenated over time. The hydrogen and carbon in oil and gas are continually created within the mantle in a process of decay of many thousands of cubic kilometres of uranium, as are all the elements up to magnesium. The hydrocarbon compounds are formed as these lighter elements rise into the lithosphere.
Oil is the second most common liquid on Earth and is utterly inexhaustible, which is why old oil wells refill over time. The fossil fuels lie is just one of many told by very wealthy people who profit enormously from them.
