CP TB GCB - To comment on “Robodebt fallout starts”, 21/07 CM – To comment on “$900k boss is stood down”, 21/07 DT – To comment on “Ex-Robo leader stood down”, 21/07 - Separately to the Robodebt debacle, I cannot fathom how any public servant is worth $900,000 per year when so little that is original, good, or useful ever emerges from the public service, (“Robodebt fallout starts’, 21/07). It’s fair enough for employees of companies to receive generous salaries as their performance is easily measured and they are highly sackable – neither of which are the case with public servants.
Like politicians, public servants too often seem to ignore the will of the people and implement plans handed down to them fully-formed from unelected foreign bodies that Australians don’t get to vote for. We need root and branch reform of the public service, beginning with a full pruning of the senior executive service to get rid of all the un-Australian young global leaders, and we need to return public sector manager salaries to more sensible levels that don’t look so much like Judas’ thirty pieces of silver.

Dear politicians and bureaucrats
The Editor The Cairns Post
Dear politicians and bureaucrats. You seem confused about our working relationship. Let’s straighten that out.
We pay you. You work for us. You’re our servants, not the other way around. You don’t control us. Stop trying to do so.
Stop talking down to us and trying to force us to do things against our will. That’s not your job. It’s not what we pay you to do. You don’t know better than us.
You’ve breached your contract. You’ve exceeded your authority. Those who told you to behave this way were wrong. You’ve been misdirected by people who have no concern for you.
There will be a reckoning. Your butt is in the vice and your hands aren’t on the handle. You cannot escape justice.
The corporatists (fascists) directing you have never succeeded for long. Their legacy has always been misery for all. Come back to reality before you author your own and your family’s misfortune.

HS – To comment on “Scrutiny of ABC board process”, 21/07 -
At a time when Australia is in massive debt and our future prospects look particularly poor, we should be carefully examining our national expenditure and trimming out all unnecessary or unwarranted spending – even if that hurts somebody’s feelings. One large expense that could be cut with no negative effects would be to close down the ABC and SBS, (“Scrutiny of ABC board process”, 21/07).
It's 2023, the internet is now everywhere, and there are many high-quality news outlets available online that tell both sides of stories instead of just the left’s version as the ABC and SBS are renowned for. This abundance of information makes the ABC and SBS completely redundant and superfluous to our needs.

Totally agree Jennifer.
They are long past their Use-By-Date and must be consigned to the scrap heap of history.
What I have never been able to determine is the amount of "government" spending from all levels on the so-called MSM.
I dare to speculate that the spending on this would be equivalent to the ABC/SBS boondoggle.

Yes Jennifer and Peter,
I have suggested for years that "the razor gang" approach needs to be wielded against the top third of their so called public service, across every "government" fiefdom.
Let alone shutting down a multitude of "services".
