I used to do work in different companies along Collins Street, Melbourne and always admired Jaguar Motors cars.
Some time later, back in the bush, I was serving as a barman in the back bar of a NSW RSL Club and I told that to a NSW 'copper' patron who told me a story how he'd been stationed near a town along the Newell Highway and was called to an accident where a truck had run over the top of a car!
He said the elderly couple were in a Jaguar and were still alive.
I bought a J6 when I went and did some work in Canberra.
A great car but a hopeless engine... lol!
