RE: Steve of “Gurambilbarra”, TTE, 07/07
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
“Climate science” doesn’t meet the definition of science, Steve of “Gurambilbarra”, (TB, 07/07). It’s always been political propaganda.
Climate “scientists” lack a falsifiable (testable) hypothesis. They’d need a duplicate planet to experiment on.
Climate “scientists” lack valid research papers to prove a causative link between CO2 and global warming.
They usually point to Svante Arrhenius’ flawed 1896 paper, which he retracted in 1906.
You pay four times what you should for power because politicians push political fiction to scare the gullible Steves into voting for them.

Good letter Peter Campion.
“Climate science” is a part of what I call "Fantasy Science".
And "Fantasy Science" is not to be confused with Science Fiction books and stories.
Good Science Fiction is based on actual scientific principles whereas Fantasy Science like "climate science" is based on fantasy!

RE: The voice is changing
The Editor The Cairns Post
Anthony Albanese’s Minister for Indigenous Australians has made statements about Albo’s Voice that conflict with his own.
Now she’s saying the “four priority areas” could be legislated for, implying that a radical change to the Constitution isn’t required after all, (The voice is changing, 07/07).
And politicians wonder why they’re the least trusted of all professions.

RE: Pollies’ wings clipped
The Editor The Courier Mail
Constitutionally, our politicians are meant to serve the will of the people, which they routinely fail to do.
Immediately upon election they’re groomed by corporate lobbyists and rapidly become accustomed to perks most of their constituents cannot afford.
That creates a disconnection from the will of the people and politicians begin serving the will of the corporations.
The LNP’s conference resolution to ban MPs from accepting complimentary memberships to luxury airport lounges, (Pollies’ wings clipped, 07/07) is a step in the right direction in restoring politicians to reality.

RE: Pay to improve teacher training
The Editor The Daily Telegraph
If we want to improve our faltering educational outcomes, we need to get teacher training out of our woke-left universities, (Pay to improve teacher training, 07/07).
Ever since apprenticeship-style classroom-based teacher training with blocks at Teachers Colleges ended and teacher training was absorbed by the tertiary education industrial complex the quality of education has trended downwards.
The irrefutable evidence is that universities aren’t good at training teachers, so we should return to what we know worked.
An extra adult in classrooms would pay dividends in terms of behaviour management and assistance for struggling students, too.

Those who clap like trained seals for totalitarian control measures will find those measures used against them. Obviously. Mr Obvious, Earlville
Remember the 1970s when the radical left protested against the establishment and weren't the useful idiots of Big Pharma and Big Renewables? Those were good times! Old Bloke, Cairns
Politicians’ salaries and superannuation should be reduced in line with inflation. It’s the only way to keep them focused on what’s important to the rest of us. JS, Edge Hill
Young slightly-built female police officers (CP, 05/07) can only be effective where respect for the role of police exists. In some demographics, that respect does not exist. If we were a sane society, we wouldn’t put small females into positions much better suited to large males. Ancient Steve, Redlynch
In the very definition of irony, the federal treasurer has said that Australian mining (CP, 05/07) would need to increase by 450% to supply the minerals needed for net zero, but renewables can't produce the energy needed to mine or refine minerals. Bad Hat Harry, Kamerunga
A trans-female African American BLM activist is the suspect in the Philadelphia street shooting. Using leftie logic, she's clearly a racist white supremacist. Republican, Cairns

“Mr Moore predicts there is more pain to come for renters in the capitals.” Well, of course. Albo is bringing in another two million migrants we don’t want or need with no plan to house them and they’re all going to want to live in their capital city enclaves. Chris, Manoora
Annastacia is confident she’ll keep her job because she’s in charge of those who count the votes. If we can’t question election integrity, it’s because our elections are rigged. JS, Edge Hill

Senator Reynolds should definitely refer Brittany Higgins pay-out to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CP, 07/07). I’d like to know if it was after-pay for a planned political hit job and whether that amounted to conspiracy to interfere in the 2022 election. Higgs, Tolga
At this point, if you still believe the stale old global warming dogma, you're literally the village idiot. Higgs, Thuringowa
Lol, Steve of Gurrumbumbilla tries to support global warming by pointing to warm tropical weather when the rest of Australia is experiencing record cold. Keep them coming, Steve! Chuckles, BG
A genuine question for Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire mayor Ross Andrews (CP, 07/07). If the Voice gets the nod, can we close the National Indigenous Australians Agency and all the other organisations that failed to 'provide momentum for practical change in the lives of First Nations people'? Jeremy, Gordonvale
Funny how cocaine gets found in the White House and nearly everyone responds with "Hunter". Gavin, Earlville
Do Cairns Post staff know that the CIA often embeds spies in media companies such as the Wall Street Journal and then arranges for them to go to foreign countries to spy with journalism as their cover? How can you know beyond doubt that Evan Gershkovich isn't a CIA spy who was genuinely caught spying? Bad Hat Harry, Kamerunga
Airservices Australia is an Australian Government owned corporation. The failure to have enough air traffic controllers is Albo's fault. Tex, Pt Douglas
There's plenty of things that sound like gunshots on building sites, including Ramset guns which are powered by cartridges filled with gunpowder (CP, 7/7). Police should know that and should have vetted the call better before such a heavy-handed response. Chippy, Smithfield

To comment on Labor’s Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023 -
Censorship is borne of fear. People are only censored when others fear what they might say. That fear is generally because those demanding censorship have not been honest and exposure would have negative consequences for them. Put simply, acts of censorship are committed by liars and criminals.
When Scott Morrison was PM, the Liberals proposed “social media anti-trolling” legislation and passed the Online Safety Act 2021. Now the Labor branch of the globalists’ Australian political party is introducing the “Communications Legislation Amendment (Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation) Bill 2023”.
Not only are our governments serial liars, they aren’t working for us anymore.
