RE: Anne Mauger’s letter, 13/06
The Editor The Cairns Post
There’s no reason for all our abundant natural hydrocarbon fuels to be on the international market, (Letters, 13/06). Governments could isolate some for domestic use and make them dirt cheap.
The CSIRO has been captured by left-wing activists. If their GenCost study was accurate, power prices would be falling. They’re not, because renewables are expensive.
Wind and solar aren’t remotely reliable. Wind stops and starts unpredictably. Clouds block sunlight unexpectedly. They can’t bid their output into the market even one day in advance.
Sea-level rise is not accelerating. It’s the same incremental thermal expansion we’ve seen for centuries. Check Fort Denison’s records yourself.
Since the ‘70s we’ve had “the coming ice age”, “global warming”, “climate change”, and “global heating” and they all had the same political group driving them.

who practice 'fantasy science'.
Witch-doctors, Shaman and Druids were more intelligent than the vacant communist fantasy scientists coming out of communist schools and universities.

To comment on Anne Mauger’s letter, CP, 13/06 -
I have a background in physics and I can prove empirically that CO2, now inaccurately called “carbon”, cannot trap heat as claimed by climate alarmists. Sadly, that’s too complex for those without technical training to understand, (Letters, CP, 13/06).
What ordinary people can understand is that winter is cooler because there’s less sunlight. Summer is hotter because there’s more sunlight. Past cold periods, such as the Little Ice Age (1350-1850) had less sunlight. Past warm periods, such as the Roman Warm Period 2,000 years ago, had more sunlight. The climate is controlled by the sun, not trace gases.
Those who proclaim that “carbon” can control climate fail to consider that overall emissions are increasing faster than ever due to Asian industry, volcanism, and Canadian activists lighting huge wildfires across whole provinces. If emissions caused warming we’d be experiencing rising temperatures, but we’re not.

RE: National park ‘a danger’
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
BobKat’s spot on with this one, (National park ‘a danger’, 13/06).
Governments gave themselves the power to be in total control of certain bush areas and then completely abrogated their responsibility to manage their fuel loads.
A common technique of climate activists all around the world is to infiltrate National Parks departments and allow fuel loads to build up.
Then, when extreme-left activist arsonists light them, they blame “climate change”.
We’re seeing this in Canada right now, where fires were lit across a vast area in a very short period.
So-called “environmentalists” (actually Marxists) don’t give a stuff about CO2-absorbing trees, unique native flora and fauna, or the emissions from bushfires.
They only care about the political power they gain from the climate hoax.

RE: It’s all a matter of trust: Joyce targets Gallagher
The Editor The Gold Coast Bulletin
The evidence that has emerged from the Higgins rape accusations has not supported a rape occurring, but it has pointed to a conspiracy to interfere in a Parliamentary election, (It’s all a matter of trust: Joyce targets Gallagher, 13/06).
“Urging interference in Parliamentary elections” gets a specific mention in the Commonwealth Criminal Code, as does “conspir(ing) with another person to commit an offence”, (https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/C2021C00183).
At the very least we need a Royal Commission into the Higgins-Sharaz-Gallagher collusion and their conspiracy to affect the outcome of an election.
The Albanese regime is destroying our economy and smashing our living standards, so if there was interference in the election we need to go back to the polls to correct that crime.
