CP TB GCB CM DT HS - To comment on “Conservatives egg on another boycott”, 05/06Oz – “‘Go woke, go broke’: fast-food chain basted for its diversity”, 05/06 - The difference between the political left and the political right is summarised in one short story, (“Conservatives egg on another boycott”, 05/06).
When the left are whipped into a frenzy by their hive-mind over a man’s death from a fentanyl overdose while in police custody, they’ll burn down Target stores simply for being there.
When the right don’t like Target supporting child grooming they just don’t shop there. Jennifer Short Edge Hill

Re: Bursting hydrogen bubbles
The Editor The Cairns Post
It’s great to see BHP’s head of energy, carbon and technology starting to say about hydrogen what we climate and energy realists have been saying all along, (Bursting hydrogen bubbles, 05/06).
Hydrogen is too energy intensive to obtain, too difficult and expensive to store, transport, and use safely, and too low in energy content to ever replace hydrocarbons.
Nor is there any need to replace hydrocarbons because when the political propaganda dressed up as “science” is removed there’s only benefits from them.
The political attacks on hydrocarbons are nothing to do with “climate”; they’re attacks on our prosperity and national security.

RE: Draft energy law released
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
Once again we see the feckless Palaszczuk government planning to dump environmentally-destructive industrial-scale part-time electricity generators in rural areas when the cities are where the power will mostly be used, (Draft energy law released, 05/06).
Given the scarcity of energy from these expensive white elephants and the energy losses from long transmission lines, it’d be far better to place them on all the ridges and beaches in and near cities.
That won’t happen, of course, because Palaszczuk has the rat-cunning to know doing so would lose her votes.

Re: UN predicts disaster if global warming not checked The Editor The Courier Mail Speaking to Associated Press, a senior UN environmental official has said we have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control. Warming is projected to melt polar icecaps, ocean levels will rise by up to three feet, low-lying nations will be flooded, and there will be millions of ecological refugees. All this and more is expected within 30 years, according to a UNEP and US EPA study, and taxes on fossil fuels and the transfer of technology to the developing world will be necessary to reduce emissions. Wait – oops, my bad. That AP story was from June 30, 1989, and the 30 years was up 3 years ago. “Greenhouse gas emissions” never did get reduced; they rose exponentially because of the transfer of technology to the developing world – and no warming happened. “Climate change” is a scam, the UN is running it, and our governments are in on it. The UN is just a venue for all the foul bloodsuckers to strut their 'stuff'.
