The Editor The Cairns Post
Literally everything that ails our society in 2023 is a direct consequence of bad decisions made by governments, (Crime on agenda as pollies in town, 08/05).
“Spiralling crime rates” are because state Labor collapsed the system we had which worked.
Successive state Labor and federal Lib-Lab governments have failed to invest in the “infrastructure” we need while squandering our wealth on stuff we don’t need (renewables, sports venues).
This “Path to Treaty” concept is absolute societal poison, driven by globalists to eventually transfer control of all rural land to the United Nations' one world government.
We don’t have a “democracy” anymore: we have the illusion of one, overseen by electoral officials who refuse to discuss the flaws in their system.
If we had a functional democracy, we wouldn’t have a “ruling class” working to destroy us.

To comment on “Power bill relief for millions”, 08/05
CP TB GCB - To comment on “Power bill relief for millions”, 08/05 CM – To comment on “Jim’s big budget fix for battlers”, 08/05 DT – To comment on “Jim’s big budget fix for battling Aussies”, 08/05 HS – To comment on “Chalmer’s eye on the future”, 08/05 Oz – To comment on “Jim’s $14bn dose of relief”, 08/05 -
The blind ideological stupidity of federal Labor is such that Treasurer Jim Chalmers is using taxpayers’ money to subsidise the electricity bills of taxpayers because his party’s energy policies have made energy unaffordable, (“Power bill relief for millions”, 08/05).
No country has achieved cheap or abundant electricity from renewables because harvesting electricity from dilute sunlight and wind is expensive and the output is intermittent and unreliable. That is obvious to everyone not obsessed by a self-destructive ideology. There is a path to cheaper energy: build lots of new coal-fired power stations, like China, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, and Malaysia.
If CO2 from coal-fired power stations caused global warming the seas would have risen by now and our low-lying coastal towns would be inundated at high tide. They’re not because that whole mythology is political and not scientific.

RE: ABC under fire for ‘colonisation damage’ comments
The Editor The Townsville Bulletin
Again and again, the ABC proves that it has been totally captured by the looniest left-wing extremists, (ABC under fire for ‘colonisation damage’ comments, 08/05).
It hasn’t abided by its own charter for years, it’s been redundant for decades, it has become destructive to our shared values, and it’s a waste of a billion dollars a year.
There are two logical courses of action: shut it down or mutualise it.
I prefer the latter – mutualising it by granting its staff shares in it commensurate with their accumulated entitlements would be very educational for them.
If they continue being woke they’ll send themselves broke, which is deliciously ironic.
