To illustrate the intellectual inconsistency of the left, Mick de Brenni has announced the construction of “a new 275kV coastal transition line”, (Energy supergrid project to begin, 25/01).
The left believes we’re experiencing “more frequent and more intense” cyclones from “global heating” despite the opposite being the lived experience, so why build a vital piece of energy distribution infrastructure in the coastal zone most affected by cyclones?
Far from creating “extraordinary resilience in terms of severe weather events”, de Brenni is putting all our energy eggs in one basket.

To respond to “Voice can’t go down Australia day path” 25/01 -
If Michael McGuire has quoted Ashleigh Gardner correctly, (“Voice can’t go down Australia day path”, 25/01), then she’s been sadly miseducated by black-armband activists. Prior to the establishment of Western values, aboriginal women were treated far more poorly by aboriginal men than they are today – as the notes of many early explorers and anthropologists prove conclusively.
And aboriginals already have the same voice in parliament as every other race – their vote. With 11 current parliamentarians identifying as aboriginal they are arguably over-represented. But none of this is about equality or representation – it’s all just another round of the nihilist left’s endless and relentless attack on their own culture and society.

To respond to “Free kindy for 14,000 children”, 25/01 -
Grace Grace speaks of “our $1 billion kindy investment” as if the government has money of its own, (“Free kindy for 14,000 children”, 25/01). She should have said, “your $1 billion kindy investment” because the government only has money it takes from us by legislative force, whether we think they’ll spend it carefully and wisely or not.
Nor will there be “14,000 who will get (Kindy) completely free” as they will be paying a portion of it either through GST and state taxes or through a decrease in services elsewhere. Those of us who aren’t related to the lucky free-Kindy children will also be paying a portion of it, whether we think that’s a valid use of our money or not.
I’m sure most would agree that the state government should be focused on more important issues than “free stuff”, such as the third-world crime epidemic they created and the failing roads they’re meant to be maintaining.

“Record prices were set for wholesale electricity in the final quarter 2022”, (Power costs amp up as cost of living rises, 25/01), but renewables are cheaper right? Lol!
“The Albanese government recently set a coal and gas price cap” which Joseph Stalin would have been proud of. Price caps were first tried in Rome by Emperor Diocletian (284 - 305 AD). They failed then and have failed ever since.
“… the wholesale price averaged $93/MWh…” but legacy coal plants can do it for $20/MWh and brand new ultra-super-critical coal plants can do it for $40/MWh.
“Cooler weather in Queensland helped lower demand for electricity…”, but, but, but, global warming is reee-al! Lol!
As to “… coal-fired power outages…”, coal plants are machines that can be fixed forever. Good luck getting the sun to shine at night or the wind to blow under a high-pressure system.

To respond to “Dutton: Ye shall not pass”, 25/01
-
Wait, what? “Peter Dutton has revealed he would not be inclined to let Kanye West into Australia”, (Dutton: Ye shall not pass, 25/01)? West might be nutty and say weird things, but he’s not an active depopulationist/eugenicist like the grotesque Bill Gates, who was swanning around Kirribilli with Albo this week.
Gates was heavily involved with every phase of the Covid tyranny, beginning with “Event 201” on October 18, 2019, where the blueprint for the lock-stepped global response that wreaked economic and societal destruction across the world was written. Why didn’t you move to block Gates, Dutto?
At this juncture, anyone wishing to suppress a harmless rapper’s right to embarrass himself with free speech while letting Bill Gates pass unquestioned should be regarded with deep suspicion. Pick your battles better, Dutto, because the conservatives you rely on for votes are watching you intently.

Dutton is not worth pissing on. Like the entire globalist Liberal party. Completely bought and paid for.

The federal treasurer has officially confirmed the spike in inflation that is glaringly obvious to everyone.
Inflation is taxation by stealth and is the inevitable consequence of having fiat currencies not backed by gold or silver.
Whenever “our” RBA creates currency out of thin air, it devalues every other dollar in circulation – including those in our savings accounts.
Politicians and Keynesian economists will blame everything and everyone for inflation but will never admit its real cause.
If our currency was backed by metals its value would rise in relation to other currencies in line with increases in the value of those metals.
Of course, we can’t have gold- or silver-based dollars because the uber-wealthy foreign bankster class don’t want us to.
What a shame that Saint Gough sold our sovereignty in 1974.

Lol, if you want to collect beer cans forget Townsville. Head out to the Alice - you'll find the largest refined aluminium deposits in the world out there. Truckie, Mt Isa
All you Boomers born in the '50s and '60s who were anti-establishment hippies in the '70s and '80s but currently believe in climate change and covid mandates are now supporting the establishment. The climate deniers and anti-vaxxers are the side standing against "The Man" now. Juss Sayen, Cairns
Why isn't there a counter for people who have "died suddenly" like there was for people who had "covid"? Curious, Cairns
Remember when covid vaccines causing side effects including myocarditis and sudden death from heart attacks was a conspiracy theory? Those were good times. Old Bloke, Cairns
Bwahahahahhh! Terry Hayton (25/01) doesn't know that plasma physics is an element of atmospheric physics and climate alarmism is based on an erroneous interpretation of atmospheric physics. Hilarious! Thanks, Terry, I needed a good laugh! Higgs, Tolga
Um, Mr Miles (CP, 25/1), there actually is a "silver bullet" to solve youth crime. It's called prison, and it's not a new invention. Mr Obvious, Earlville
G'day, HJL (TTE, 25/1). Almost everyone I know loves animals because they are either useful or delicious. Jimmy the Bull, Vincent
Nobody should get their hopes up about Premier Squanderchook spending $75 million of our money on a metals "demonstration facility". Even if they can attract clever scientists to a crime-ridden backwater like Townsville, no process they develop will be used here. Why not? Because, thanks to the lunatic left, we no longer have cheap energy and nothing gets processed without it. Miner, Kelso
Terry Hayton, (CP, 25/01), climate alarmists see a teenage Swedish high school dropout as a climate expert, so you're hardly in a position to claim your side is indisputably right - particularly after your other expert, mammalian Tim Flannery, predicted permanent drought for Australia. Helena, Cooktown
Tony Fontes (TB, 25/01) "global heating" only exists in the leftwing loony bin. The only people using gillnets on the Reef are foreigners there illegally, which our authorities ignore. You may have recently learned that flake is fillets of shark, Tony, but the rest of us have known that since forever. FMD, RB
I agree with others in the Chatroom (25/01). K-Mart etc deserve boycotting. While the left get hysterical about misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation they're the ones pumping it out. On the bright side, the sillier the left get, the more people wake up. BH Trucker, Robina
Hey, councillors, how about you fix the potholes and the footpaths before you go wasting money that you didn't earn on "art"? Cranky, Manoora
The world's most qualified pharmaceutical expert, Dr Michael Yeadon (former Vice President of Pfizer) has turned whistleblower and has called out every aspect of the Gates-Fauci global response to covid as a vast conspiracy designed to cull the human population. Our political leaders need to listen to Dr Yeadon very carefully. Alison Jamieson, Mt Sheridan
Re "Reoffending of Cairns kids in care blamed on inadequate support" - so the parents paid by taxpayers to care for their own kids failed, the state agencies taxpayers paid to care for the failed parents' kids also failed, the kids themselves are paid by taxpayers but also failed to care for themselves. I see the problem. It's the taxpayers' money. Let's take that away and see if things get better or worse. Francine, North Cairns
As Keith Woods observes (GCB, 25/1), there are no consequences for the young criminals who fearlessly invade our homes. The surge in these home invasions is because the moronic Labor government removed all consequences. Back when we still had our God-given basic human right to defend ourselves, our loved ones, our homes, and our property, we could knock these little mongrels out and detain them for the police who would take them before a magistrate who would lock them up. But hand-wringing loony-left do-gooders, manipulated by the forces that seek to destroy Western nations, took away our right to self defence. So now our homes are invaded and the criminals are caught on our CCTV and they get off scot-free. I'm beginning to despise the left, and if they didn't cheat in elections we'd have none in government. Francine, Ashmore
The US Democrats are working flat out to expose some minor crimes committed by their puppet president, the senile and incompetent Joe Biden. This is ultimately to get rid of him while shielding him from his more serious crimes. Brace yourselves for Kackling Kamala to be dumbest US president ever. Republican, Cairns
Yet again we read about how perfect the Reef is (CP, 25/01). You'd better stop reporting that, Cairns Post, or you'll end up putting the Reef-alarm industrial complex out of business. One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
Alex Jones' Banned.video and Infowars.com get more daily viewers, readers, and listeners than does "our" ABC. So why doesn't the ABC support itself by selling health supplements as Jones does, instead of hanging off the taxpayers' teat? Woz, Parramatta Park
