The cane season finally closed yesterday with the stragglers cleaning up.
I've been carting machinery and hay for a few days now, the cane done until next year. However, after all that I have a few days off and my best mate for about 40 years has his 60th down in Cowra this weekend, so I am off as of today and getting ready to leave in the morning. He expects nothing, he is from Waikerie in SA but originally from Cowra NSW and thinks he is going home to Cowra for a quite weekend to catch up with his dad who is miraculously , still alive.
All the old friends will be there...it will be quite something, as his wife , god bless her has been organising it all for months.
He took the jab early and regrets it, just recently having a fast growing tumor removed from his jaw.
Pure coincidence, of course.
God knows how long we'll all have our friends for.
For all my travelling of this country I have never visited the site of the Cowra break out, just driven past, so we'll fit that in and a few other things. Now to service the car......wouldn't want to break a fan belt on the first day out like some we know! Probably just jinxed myself being a smart arse.

Struth, put your mate onto www.fenbendazole.org/. Just as "horse wormers" cure covid, dog wormers cure a lot of cancers.

Well done Struth, you survived your first cane season.
