Oops. Not a fan of Scot.

I knew I'd get it right eventually 😊

Usually when people with a "foreign" accent sing, they come out with an English one. Not in the case of the Scots, it would seem.

Scots are kind of superior. I had this book of a ranking of the most influential people in history. Scots took a ridiculously high proportion. We celts can get to have a bit of an inferiority complex because people always manage to take us over and steal from us. So for example It was Celts on either side of the English-Scottish border who created the industrial revolution. So wealth started moving up to the celtic areas. Then the monetary expansion associated with World War One sucked all the wealth back down South. Largely to London. I know that the celtic run American plantations have the stain of slavery despoiling their reputation. Actually not all of them had slaves. But in either case they were fantastically productive. They were like having societies infrastructure internal to a farm. They were often like we dream about with permaculture. These were largely celtic run affairs but these were the richest states in the union before the war and been the poorest ever since. Of course the lesser ranked black people were treated like shit. But if they found a talented black guy, they would invest in him because they knew then that he could run things for them and they could take it easy. So you had these ultra-productive black guys the likes of which is seldom seen before or since.

Anglo-Saxons and Viking descendants may have run England. But for Britain to beat people up all over the world they were relying on all these Scots and Scots-Irish types with Indian Hindu support. It seems we always end up doing the hard yards but getting few of the rewards.

Disclaimer. I'm likely to be biased since I'm given to believe that 8 of my 16 great great grandparents were Scottish. 4 Irish and 4 English. So I may be whining for historical reasons.
