Re: "Joe should go" (CP, 5/7). Hunter Biden's laptop, Ashley Biden's diary, and Dinesh D'Souza's "2000 Mules" documentary are becoming common knowledge in the US. Joe is less popular than Jimmy Carter. He'll be remembered as the worst pResident ever. Republican, Cairns
What the actual? If people are on a salary paid by taxpayers, they do NOT need "bonuses" as well (CP, 5/7). No wonder the NDIS is rapidly becoming unaffordable. One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for the lower level climateers. Every time their priest class makes a prediction about the climate the opposite happens. It must be very frustrating to have so much faith in scientism and to be let down by reality time and time again. But I'm getting very angry at their leaders trying to shut down our cheapest and most reliable electricity with nothing to replace it and no sound reason for doing so. MW, Redlynch
The unseasonal rain (CP, 05/07) is a result of the recent Tonga volcanic eruption. It was an underwater eruption which instantly converted many cubic kilometres of seawater into electrically charged vapour and sent it up through the troposphere and stratosphere and into the mesosphere. As these charged vapour particles circle the earth and drift back down they seed clouds and trigger rain events. It's only climate change for those who believe carbon dioxide causes volcanic eruptions. Weather Watcher, Trinity Beach
Harvey, Westcourt, (5/7), the floods are the worst in 44 years - so why was flooding worse in 1978 if man-made CO2 is to blame now? Curious, Cairns
Eve, (5/7), if you're so worried about covid, you should go and get vaccinated. Because the vaccinations prevent covid, right? Lol. Chloe, Kuranda
Coldest FNQ day in 23 years (CP, 5/7). I blame global warming. Juss Sayen, Cairns
What a shame that Cairns hadn't just finished building a new dam similar to Copperlode - it would've filled by now and be ready to service all the southerners who are moving here. Cedric, Kuranda
I remember ScoMo being roasted for not being here to fight bushfires, so why isn't Albo being dunked for his absence during floods? Jessie, Bungalow
Kiama in NSW has had its wettest day in 118 years. The warmies will blub about the end of the world from climate change but won't think to ask why it was wetter 118 years ago, long before we started driving SUVs. Jonesy, Manoora
