The lessons I’ve learnt in the fight for freedom
Contributed by Monica Smit of Reignite Democracy Australia
I am nhosting an event called The Freedom Summit Downunder 2022 in every capital city of Australia.
Our first one is in Melbourne on 13th July.
Here’s a backstory of how and why I’m running an event like this.
My name is Monica Smit, I’m a 34-year-old tax-paying citizen of the once free state of Victoria.
I started an organisation called Reignite Democracy Australia in August 2020.
Freedom fighter Monica Smit of Reignite Democracy Australia
I’ve attended most of the lockdown protests, been arrested several times during peaceful demonstrations, spent 22 days in solitary confinement and am awaiting trial by jury for allegedly inciting others to break COVID restrictions.
Since August 2020, I have tried almost every form of diplomatic pushback and was also heavily involved in educating voters and rallying volunteers ahead of the federal election 2022.
I want to share what I’ve learnt after two years of full-time freedom activism.
The movement no longer has the energy to be so reactive.
We cannot protest every weekend, it doesn’t work.
Mass email campaigns don’t work, they just get deleted.
Letterbox dropping has its place but is time consuming and impossible to measure.
Politics is part of the solution, but not the whole solution.
The everyday voter is mostly uneducated and unaware of theimpact their vote has.
After much deliberation, I have concluded that fighting directly against these tyrants is not the answer.
Instead, we should work towards making them obsolete.
Let’s find ways to live peacefully and prosper, even in chaos.
Let’s try to stop letting their every move affect our mental state of mind.
Let’s start building communities around us, building veggie gardens, spending our money in businesses that deserve it, finding alternative medical, schooling, currency and bartering solutions.
Over the next year, we hope to help build stronger communities that can withstand anything tyranny throws at them.
Hopefully we can learn how and when to use our energy for optimum results for ourselves, our families, and our fellow countrymen.
That is why I am hosting The Freedom Summit Downunder 2022 in every capital city.
Our first event is Wednesday, 13 July in Melbourne.
The tagline for this event is - How to live peacefully and prosper, even in chaos.
This event will focus on tools and strategies we can all use to live our best lives, no matter what is happening around us.
The line-up of speakers is quite impressive but it’s not all about big names or influencers.
We have some speakers who are not well known but have fantastic initiatives.
We’re presenting a new website that connects consumers directly to farmers, a trading system where members exchange goods and services without money, a new local market network, home-schooling networks and much more.
I hope to see some of you there and if you’re not in Victoria, I’ll see you soon.

Monica is tired.
Aren't we all?
We are all protested out.
They have let things seem to go back to near normal........yet state of emergencies remain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND NO ONE SEEMS TO GIVE A SHIT as long as the tyrants have backed off.
That's how dumb and politically apathetic our countrymen are.
Without the assurity that a tyrannical stunt won't be pulled at any time, kiss goodbye freedom, even when you have more now than under lock down, we and Victorians and West Aussies in particular have none.
And seeing those states are part of my home even if I don't live in them, it makes no difference.
It all effects every Australian no matter where they live, and also the lives of people overseas dealing with Australia, with trade or family and friends here.
Tourism, etc...on and on it goes.
But Australians are so glad to be allowed to go to a pub or not wear a mask etc, they are falling hook line and sinker for the hit 'em hard and then back off tactic.
From the moment this coup took place, the hippies talked about and became active in setting up what they termed "alternative communities"..............they'll bata and trade a pumpkin for your beans and holistic medicine will replace all western hospitals can supply......
Little community teachers will teach kids without needing to go to the now indoctrination centres of perversion and evil marxism the education system has become.
I'm sure somebody will have a cow for milk..........blah blah....
All good stuff.
One wonders why they never did this in Venezuela or in China especially.
Russia during the great grain stealing "famine".
Even today we hear Dan Andrews talk of banning growing your own food.
With the technology available to these people do people believe...
You'll be allowed to home school children, or have them taught at schools other than those approved by government.?
That food won't be taken, physically from your property.
That you'll actually own property to grow your food on.
etc.
These hippy plans to survive are ahistoric fantasies that give them some sense of comfort.
For their plans are the plans of free people who still have freedom to pursue their little bata-economy of lavender/hobby farm existence as practiced somewhat by our forebears.
WHO WERE FREE.
Alternative economies can be squashed in an instant.
The government has placed itself above the rule of law.
It is criminal and therefore we have a duty to disobey criminal dictates.
Undemocratically founded dictates MUST be ignored.
The alternative economy crowd look to a future where we are back in 1890's style Australia when in truth we will be back in 1920's Russia.
The only way to defeat tyranny is to ignore it, and punish those practicing it.
