If the convoy of no confidence taught me anything it was confirming just how bad the media are, and how deep the rot goes between them and government departments including the AFP, who handed my personal information over to Canberra Times and other outlets, especially the ABC.
A lifetime of seeing them ignore the remote communities disaster of human degredation visited upon aboriginal people so the snouts could continue at the trough.
To spin things completely opposite to the reality.
Although only an apprentice at the time, my very first recollection of the evils of the media, was way back in the days of the truck blockades on the Hume.
99% of clean, decent hard working men to interview, and they find one of the few toothless gits that wouldn't know what day of the week it was, who suited their narrative.
When they first starting going after truckies was also times you might remember when we were all classified as cowboys, speeding, killing people and running over families in our big twucks.
This is why institutionally educated ignorant, insulated bigots have a problem with people like me.
When it comes to the real world, it's to be found outside of an institution.
Outside your safe little urban world.
The media are the problem.
If twitter stops your speech, find another place to do it.
Gab would never do it.
We don't do it here unless it's inciting violence.
If you still don't feel free enough, somewhere else will entice you. We must not tolerate sensorship of free speech. I'm sure I'm not the only one with tales of the communist media, and I love to hear your stories, if you have time.
Yes, I am that old!!!!!!! What they won they immediately lost later. From those days, and the threat posed to "authorities" when the world fell in love with trucks as Hollywood pushed the glamorous fantasy of driving them to get drivers for their new Interstate highways ...Australian gov departments went on a war path. It's a real war and it has never stopped.
In Australia, I believe there are two types of people, public servants and the rest of us peasants..
If I said to people that the authorities regulating and checking the transport industry are vindictive, jealous, scum and out to crush independent people who they are frightened of, and confused by...some would claim I am over the top. Yet anyone knows if you want to not be targetted by these arseholes, you drive a plain white European cab over snot box. Flashy American gear will see you harrassed if not working for Tolls and the like. You do not take pride in your vehicle by adding a bit of chrome or personalise it in any way. And you drive as a company driver and not an owner driver. With vast distances they force men they feel threatened by, to live in a sleeper cab hardly any other nation on earth restricts in size so much, so that the only drivers who can get a decent sleeper tow shorter bulk trailers which allows bo flexibility of Prime Mover use.
I'm sure you realise I could go on about that!!!! However my point being, we have a special breed of arsehole in Australia. And they are in the public service. They are not just doing what they are told, but like SA scalies wanting to wear guns, people who want war against all who they regulate. I note LL/Frank/ was a public servant and is an absolute classic case of bee in the bonnet, PS arsehole.

NSW Fisheries & Wildlife had guns prior to SA scalies and could enter your home without notice nor warrant to check your fridge or freezers for the number and type of fish you might have stored there to check with your fishing license.
Australia never got out of its bureaucratic British origins and we still have gnomes sitting in a capital city web dictating to people 100's and thousands of miles away.
Australia has never been a free country.
The enemy have us surrounded. Good! Now we know where to find the bastards! -various
It's never been truly free, and that's why a country that has so much resourse wealth and coming from a half decent westminster system background like the US could have, and should have, been a superpower. It could never shake off it's corrupt public service.
