Guess what Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Ireland, The Netherlands, Italy, Lithuania, France, and the UK have in common – they’ve ended covid restrictions. They know covid is not particularly dangerous and is now endemic. We can send a message to our “elites” in May. Make your vote count by voting for anyone but them. Ben, Mossman
If the Qld Supreme Court fails to find in favour of Ms Machnitzke, on the basis of Section 51-23A of the federal constitution, then we can stick a fork in Qld - because we'll know its' done. Carol, Westcourt
Why did we send athletes to the Chinese Olympics? Was it to show Australia's support for a totalitarian regime that keeps Uighurs as slaves? Mark W, Redlynch
Relax, vegans: all the delicious things I serve come from meat packing plants. BBQ-Man, Woree
Those new road signs that guess your speed are hilarious. I sat in a park and watched a line of traffic pass one, all doing the same speed, and the sign's guesses varied by 7 km/h. Stephen, Kairi
The UK and eight other governments have removed covid restrictions. Canadians are removing their government. We have an election in May. What will we do? Jill, Yungaburra
The WHO has backed right off from covid vaxxing kids because the vaxxes are far more fatal than the disease in that age group. Parents of vax-injured kids are going to be taking political parties and media groups to courts and destroying them. Parent, Woree
If anti-whitism isn't racism, what is it? Curious. White Rock
Not much point spending money giving Mission Beach a makeover (5/2) if the Palachook SS are going to keep rampaging around closing down popular eateries and watering holes. Ruth, South Mission Beach
There's so much wrong in "Renewables price cut surprise" (CP, 05/02) I don't know how to fit it in a text. I'll just say this - if it were true, electricity prices would be falling, not rising. Electrical Engineer, Brinsmead
I stand with the mayors (CP, 5/2). Regional plans created by the Brisbane bureaucracy are worse than useless - they're damaging. We need a separate North Queensland state, as per the United Australia Party's front page advert (CP, 4/2). MItchell, Port Douglas
Did government credibility die "of" covid or "with" covid? Regina, Mooroobool
Owners of newer buildings, built to modern cyclone standards, may soon find it more cost effective to self-insure (CP, 5/2). That is, putting the equivalent of a reasonable insurance fee away safely and paying their own repairs. That will see the end of insurance company rorting. Self-insured, Caravonica
When Labor or the LNP "pledge" to fix something, I take it to mean the opposite - it will get worse. That's what I've learned in a long life anyway. Old Bill, Brinsmead
City residents are buying in the bush because they can see the mess the governments they elected are creating. The lesson they must learn is to change their voting habits when they get here. Bushie, Dimbulah
With two old mates, I started campaigning for an alternative to the Kuranda Range Road (CP, 05/02) in 1999. We wanted to see the existing road left for Kuranda area locals and their tourism industry. Both of those mates died of old age without seeing anything done. The way our useless ALP and LNP drag their feet, it'll probably be the same for me. Higgs, Tolga
While the Quaid Rd (CP, 05/02) is in the wrong place to be effective, I deeply resent the communists at UNESCO having the power to tell us what we can and can't do in our own bush. George, Clifton Beach
If a packet of salad makes three people sick there's a nationwide recall. Why does nothing happen when a vaccine causes tens of thousands of people to become sick? Henry, Malanda
Barnaby shouldn't have apologised for calling ScoMo a hypocrite and a liar, because pretty much everyone can see for themselves that he is. Bruce, Manunda
I tested an orange with a RAT kit. It had covid! Lucky I didn't eat it. Foodie, Cairns
A meta-analysis of covid lockdowns at Johns Hopkins University has found that they did enormous societal and economic damage but only changed the death toll by, at best, 0.2%. Kudos to Fox News, Sky News and news.com.au
