Not VicPol but private security

Somebody posted the other day a recently passed law that allowed foreign police/military into the country and essentially be immune from prosecution for crimes committed. Following the above links it's clearly a US business employing mercenaries. As the CFMEU protests are only a few days old they clearly couldn't have had time to bring in these characters and deploy them at such short notice so if they are from overseas it must have been planned long ago. The simplest thing to do would be to listen to the accents of those with the Predator Security badge. No accent? Either they're recruiting locally or they are actually cops or military or it's just uniform hire. My guess is they're military, recent returns from the Middle East, recruited through private firms at much better rates of pay, the only other option being marching at Puckapunyal or pushing paper somewhere. Read an article or two that outlined how disenchanted vets were after several deployments, returning to see how their country has been degraded while they were supposedly defending it. Just my theory but you can bet your life it's a case of following the money trail as all this has to be paid for. Some of the horrific videos of assaults which VicPol claim to have been unaware of (sure!) cannot be defended and charges laid and convictions and sentences made. If that doesn't publicly happen...
