"Very interesting" is how I see last night's gig.
The pub shall remain nameless for obvious reasons, but a great pub it is.
Not shitting itself complying with covid crap.
The pub was packed last night.
I know it was packed by many from the nearest capital escaping lockdowns.
They have found reason and taken holidays over the dead of winter.
As one punter told me, "we knew they were going to pull this shit again so made sure we could get out"
A lot of that happening.
The older generations were partying hard, Hey, that's usually the case these days, but there seemed to be more grasping this behaviour last night, as if it were a last ditch effort.
I play songs like most pub hacks, the classic hits of the west from the period of the free west, which allows and enables this sort of musical outbreak.
During this time communist Russia produced nothing.
People now appreciate this time through the music old bastards in their fifties, like me , are playing.
Especially the young ones.
They just don't know how to party.
When the pub gets a bit of a party atmosphere happening, (in other words, more than three or four drinks have been consumed) the older gens start getting rowdy, but it's a happy rowdiness.
A release.
This actually worried and scared the young bartenders who saw it as a calamity, when one woman in her fifties decided to play air guitar on her knees while dancing.
That's all she did.
These kids have been abused and sickeningly so by our education systems.
They cannot fathom extravert behaviour, and are indeed scared by it.
Who would that benefit?
