In this four minute Sky News report, Michael Maher, CEO of "One Passport" explains how your new digital I.D. - developed, coincidentally, by his company, will be used not only for national and international travel, but even for mundane things like visiting Granny in the old peoples' home.
It is in the form of an app on your smartphone and it "proves" you have been vaccinated. But wait - there's more. Only YOU will be able to access the information. Well, only you and the government department administering it. Oh, and pretty much every other government department - read the fine print next time you sign up for anything from a government department. But we all know how secure info held by governments is.
Of course, while almost nobody else can actually access the info, YOU will have to access it and show it to just about anybody who demands it, if you want to exist and function in the "New Reality" (Sky News term, not mine). Want to fly anywhere - "One Passport please". Visit granny in the old peoples' home - "One Passport please". Shop at the local Colesworth - "One Passport Please". Go to the movies - "One Passport please".
Are you getting the picture? Brought to you by your lovable LIBERAL government (Vacancies for cheerleaders available - apply at Catallaxy.com.
