This is just a personal reflection for my Uncle Kev who passed away the other day so kindly indulge me.
He was the youngest of 11 children of my Mother's siblings.
There used to be an iconic colour photograph of Uncle Kev standing on the back of a horse drawn rice harvester, bagging off the grain as it was reaped, threshed and output.
He became a truck driver and when he got married he was a solid time shearer.
For a variety of reasons he took his family from Victoria to Western Australia, still shearing and looking around.
He ended up breaking the monopoly on grain cleaning in the West by getting a rig through my Father, back East.
In his older 'retired' years he loved collecting old tractors and doing them up - just because.
Vale Uncle Kev.
