RE: Sky’s limit on FN jobs
The Editor The Cairns Post
Here’s how the ALP-LNP’s policies will negatively affect our “booming” health, energy, and aviation industries, (Sky’s limit on FN jobs, 19/08).
Publicly funding health care and social assistance requires a national income. Ours comes from mining and farming. The ALP-LNP are working to shut those down “for the climate”.
The unreliable low-density energy generators the ALP-LNP build employ relatively few people and can’t run the grid without full back-up from the reliable high-density generators they’re closing.
The marine industry is powered by the hydrocarbon fuels the ALP-LNP is intent on banning. Same with trucking and aviation. There are no practical electric ships, trucks, or planes.
China produces 29 times as much CO2 as we do and has exited the Paris Climate Accord, so the ALP-LNP’s policies are all pain and no gain.
It makes you wonder who the ALP-LNP is really working for because it ain’t us.

When the ABC was established, broadcasting was in its infancy and it took the resources of government to build the needed infrastructure, (ABC spends big on ads”, 19/08). Times have changed since then. Every smartphone now provides access to untold thousands of news and content providers at zero cost to taxpayers.
The ABC’s audiences are declining because it was infiltrated and captured by extreme-leftists, who are using it as a megaphone for their destructive propaganda in defiance of its charter. The case for publicly funding it has collapsed. It’s time to shut it down.

RE: Royal Albo Air Force
The Editor The Daily Telegraph
If we were to do a cost-benefit analysis of the PM’s expenditure on air travel, would it come out positive or negative, (Royal Albo Air Force, 19/08)?
I’d posit it’d be a big, fat, ugly negative – precisely in line with everything else Albo has done.
Cost-benefit analyses are commonly undertaken in capitalist countries but our governments don’t do them anymore because the Labor-Liberal twins have steered us into early-stage communism.
Does anyone think we can vote our way out of that when the communists are in charge of counting the votes?

Countries that have pushed electric cars have vast stockpiles of dead lithium batteries, representing a huge sum of money. Would Bernie (Texts, 18/08) please help us out and give us the name of the company that profitably recycles them? I'd like to buy some stock. Higgs, Tolga
Climate change is getting cleverer every day. Just last week it burnt down ordinary people's homes in Hawaii but carefully avoided the billionaire's homes nearby - probably because they'd bought carbon offsets. Greenie, Yorkeys Knob
"Trial trauma dogs Trump." The Democrats are playing a dangerous game. They're establishing precedents that may see them all spend very long periods in prison. Republican, Cairns

It’s been over 30 years since Al Gore predicted the end of the world from climate change in 12 years. How can anyone take that rubbish seriously now? Harvey, Mt Sheridan
Who remembers when Al Gore said the election was stolen from him and he wasn’t indicted for it? Those were good times. Old Bloke, Cairns
The Chinese economy is in meltdown after their extreme Covid responses. When China sneezes, we die of the flu. Better start drilling for oil, Albo: we need some new exports. Gerard, Smithfield
Two things following politics has taught me: there are some incredibly brilliant people in the world; they are vastly outnumbered. JS, Edge Hill
What Chinese products could you give up? I’ll go first – Albo. Marie, Aitkenvale

Earth isn’t overpopulated, but the government is. One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
People who get “the most votes in history” don’t try to imprison their opponents and censor their critics, but people who rig elections do. Republican, Cairns
It was only two years ago that the FDA said Ivermectin was “horse paste”. Now, after Big Pharma made all that money, they’re saying it can be used to treat Covid. It’s a miracle. Or something. Davina, Bungalow
