We’re told we have “a crippling national skills shortage”, (Melbourne’s growing pains, 05/01), which begs two questions.
Why do we have so many jobless citizens and residents, and what does that say about our education systems and our choice of immigrants?

Further to the Daily Telegraph’s excellent editorial, (Democracy lost amid political censorship, 05/01), the Twitter Files have revealed that the FBI was funding Twitter’s censorship of US citizens.
The US Bill of Rights is a set of limitations on government. The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Both the Trump and the Biden administrations “… abridge(ed) the freedom of speech…” of US citizens by enacting laws to fund FBI programs, and every elected representative and official who participated in that has breached their oath of office.
Interestingly, the Supreme Court is presently hearing a case brought against 385 congressmen and congresswomen for breaching their oaths of office over the stolen 2020 Presidential election. There is still hope that the out-of-control US government can be reined in, slender as that hope may be.

Sean McGinn (Letters, 05/01), how are Skyrail and the railway of use to regional residents going to Cairns? Please be precise in your response.
And “$300M per kilometre” for a tunnel? Was that the usual “fresh out of thin air” costing the left use?
As I carefully explained in my letter of 29/12/2022, my proposal is paid for by selling land reclaimed, in part, using the tunnel spoil.
As to Sean’s 30 km/h proposal, the last blockage I was caught in involved a drunk and unlicensed driver. Does that sound like someone who obeys unrealistically low speed limits?

The name of the latest Covid variant is BS-24/7. Juss Sayen, Cairns
If the federal government is even remotely curious about the nation's declining fertility problem, (04/01) it needs to start by having a close look at the plastics industry and then putting the pharmaceutical industry under the microscope - beginning with the covid injections. The pandemic didn't "slow growth almost to a halt" - but the mandated vaccines did. Anita, Edge Hill
In their book "Cause Unknown", Edward Dowd and Gavin de Becker say medical scientists have found the prevalence of clinical myocarditis in young men who have received the Covid injections is around 1 in 3000. This is completely unacceptable and these injections must be stopped and investigated. A press release from the Global Covid Summit in May 2020 was headlined "17,000 physicians and scientists are calling for an end to the mRNA Covid injections". Something is seriously wrong with our health authorities. Chloe, Cairns
Dr. Peter McCullough pointed out in a recent paper that since the covid shots were deployed, 1598 athletes have suffered cardiac arrest, with 1101 of them dying. In order to find 1101 similar athlete deaths he has to examine a 38-year period. They lied - people died. Brett, Stratford
Ron, Kelso, TTE, 4/1 - it's not so much that Beattie, Rudd or Albo "played the media", it's more that media owners wanted those three to be boosted up for the public. Albo is nowhere near smart or attractive enough to warrant the fawning media he gets, but he is who the media owners want in that job. Marie, Aitkenvale
The real conspiracy theorists believe that the government cares about them and would never lie to them, either directly or through the media, and that the pharmaceutical industry that makes billions off their sickness wants to cure them. CT, Cairns
Halina Giardina (CP, 4/1), what's best for the juvenile criminals is only part of the equation. What's best for the law-abiding majority is the rest. We pay for police and courts to protect us from criminals, something our hopelessly incompetent Labor government has failed to do. If prison is not the answer, then Geoff Guest-style remote camps are the only other solution. But Labor is guaranteed to stuff that up, too. Marie, Aitkenvale
Here's a short list of what the left hates - straight people, whiteness, masculinity, conservatism, family, hard work, math, punctuality, truth, health, critical thinking, logic, biology, reliable energy, working out, pets, and any sort of weather. Why we've let them get control of the education system baffles me. I can't see their views building better communities. One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
"Recycling" is not what happens (4/1). Extra bins for different waste require extra collection rounds but it all ends up in the same landfill because the waste has no value. If it did, we wouldn't throw it out. Just another leftie scheme that does not work. Bad Hat Harry, Kamerunga

An appeal to editors and journalists -
For those who haven’t worked it out yet, a war on the middle class is being waged by the wealthy feudalists who zip around in private jets. Destruction of the middle class is the core requirement to achieve their “Great Reset” under which “we’ll own nothing, and we’ll be happy”.
All the counterproductive narratives that continually clog our newsfeeds originate with a core group of about 1200 self-described “elites”. “Climate change” is a myth designed to restrict the energy supplies on which all else depends. “Covid-19” and the “Covid vaccines” were both engineered to destroy our natural immunity and our reproductive abilities (CP TB GCB CM DT HS, 04/01). “Transgenderism” is an attack on families, sanity, social cohesion, and reproductive ability. Profligate government spending and inflation are attacks on our savings, our superannuation, and our pensions. Farmers are under a wide variety of government pressure as an attack on our food supply.
And all this is happening in every nation with a middle class because politicians are either bought, or blackmailed, or helicoptered into their positions. The globalists cannot achieve their dream of owning and controlling everything while a questioning middle class exists – so we are to be eliminated and/or driven into poverty.
Never before have the decent people of this planet needed a strong independent media to expose these facts as much as we do now. So, this is an appeal to every editor and journalist who reads this letter.
They are coming for you, too, and your families, your friends, and your communities. If they have something on you and they win, you lose anyway. If they have promised you something and they win, you lose anyway. Only by leading this ultimate battle for humanity’s future do you have any chance of keeping at least some of what you have now.

“Skyrocketing power prices have hit Queenslanders…” exactly as energy realists have been forecasting, (Queenslanders dudded on power bills, 04/01).
“The costs associated with operating during this period have begun to pass through to retail pricing…” because juggling “renewables” that flicker on and off with no warning creates costs that reliable generators don’t incur.
So, when will we see cheaper power from renewables? Never. They are simply not capable of providing it. The proof is in your power bill.

To respond to “Warning on rates hit to the economy”, 04/01 -
National economies are in dire states everywhere because of governments squandering national wealth on the plandemic, but central banks everywhere raised rates despite common sense saying that would make things worse (Warning on rates hit to the economy, 04/01).
Most central banks are owned by uber-wealthy families who are serving the globalist agenda of destroying fiat currencies, because that’s how they bring in their Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and implanted digital identification chips. (Our RBA is ostensibly publicly-owned, but it marches in lock-step with the others.)
CBDCs are programmable money. They can increase or decrease its value for individual users depending on their behaviour (social credit score). They can give it a “spend by” date. They can limit it to their own corporate businesses to destroy the small business sector. They can limit it to a specified distance from the individual’s home.
CBDCs are the ultimate tool of tyrannical control for the globalists who fly their private jets to Davos. The implanted digital ID is the “mark of the beast” forecast in Revelations. Cash represents freedom. Do not be fooled by those who want to rule you. Use cash wherever possible.

Outstanding column, Tim Blair! (CP, 03/01) The lefty head explosions will be visible from the moon. Yorrick, Brinsmead Well said, Jim Pacey (CP, 3/1). It's not just criminals who should be caned in public, it's politicians who break election promises, bureaucrats who use their positions to monster people, and teachers who poison children's minds with politics, too. Tanya, Malanda For the first time in living memory, Sydney didn't get to 30C in the first month of summer. Obviously global warming is to blame. Neville, Mareeba Regarding the road safety roundtable, I do hope they examine the elephant in the room, which is sudden and unexpected medical events behind the wheel. #DiedSuddenly is trending for a reason, not that we can discuss it here - yet. Chloe, Kuranda Why do the Greens want to raise the age of criminal responsibility to 14 and lower the voting age to 16? Aren't those two goals mutually exclusive? Curious, Cairns One thing Michael Barry Henderson can be relied on to do is reveal the ugly side of the totalitarian left. They'll never leave you alone because they want to rule you. Juss Sayen, Cairns Dear Editor. You keep printing Ted/Tezza (Chatroom 3/1) criticising me for not answering a question when I did but you didn't print it. Why? Ted/Tezza, I've tried to answer you twice. Here's a third attempt. The governments include Germany, UK, Israel, Japan, Florida, Australia and NSW. Here's two links to get you started doing your own homework - NSW Health - www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Pages/weekly-reports.aspx ABS - www.abs.gov.au/statistics/health/causes-death/provisional-mortality-statistics/latest-release. I'll assume you have data analysis skills. Chloe Rambo, 3/1, why blame Trump for 2022? Your mate Biden was US president! FMD Not a lot of people know this, but "the world's oldest rainforest" wasn't in its present location 12,000 years ago during the last ice age. It was 35 km to the east, clinging to the edge of the continental shelf and barely surviving on the warmth from the Pacific Ocean. JS, Edge Hill MB Henderson wants to "cull private vehicle use", just like Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum. Go ahead and explain how the sick and the elderly who aren't serviced by buses and who can't afford Ubers or taxis get to their medical appointments, MB. Oh, that's right, your mate Klaus wants to cull the "useless eater", too. Alison Jamieson, Mt Sheridan Oh, how ironic! The son of the stablehand accuses the family who raised him of "betrayal", while he himself was conceived in an act of betrayal. Royal Watcher, Trinity Beach Even if you haven't had your car stolen yet (3/1), you're paying for all these crimes through increased insurance premiums. Annastasi, it's time you stepped down and let someone competent be Premier. Mechanic, Smithfield Michael Barry Henderson is always doing the work of the billionaire Davos-class globalists (CP, 3/1). They have a big club, Michael, and you're not in it. Do try and wake up. One Tooth Wally, Cairns North Please define a "racing type vehicle", Mr Henderson (letters, 3/1). Is it a four cylinder Toyota Camry capable of 200 km/h off the showroom floor? And how is "powerful" defined? Is it a 4WD that can pull a caravan? How do slower speeds make things safer when cars would spend more time getting from A to B, causing greater congestion, frustration, and boredom leading to inattention? As to "brutal with regulation", why not just say "govern me harder, Daddy"? This is the trouble with leftists - they just don't think things through. Barry, Bungalow In previous editions of the Cairns Post we've read of the "recidivist group of repeat offenders" responsible for much of Cairns' ongoing crime wave. We know this group are youths, because adults would have been detained in custody. My question is this - "How many cars per day would have been stolen had the Labor government detained those youths in custody?" Woz, Parramatta Park Since the Qld Govt is aiding and abetting youth crime by refusing to put the offenders in prison, aren't they then accessories to that crime and liable for the losses people suffer? MW, Redlynch I think we all know that Joe Biden's dementia is sufficiently advanced that he's not performing the duties of that role. The questions are, who is acting as US president, and why hasn't Biden been removed under the 25th Amendment? Republican, Cairns

To respond to Glenn White, Letters, 03/01 -
Glenn White (TB, 03/01) is still convinced renewables can power our grid. They can’t. Here’s an analogy that might help Glenn understand the problem.
Imagine you've borrowed money for a new car in a non-refundable deal. On the way home, clouds block the sun and your new car splutters to a stop. Just as you've pushed it off the road, the wind starts blowing and your car roars back to life. You ring the dealer who offers you an expensive battery to improve reliability. You buy the expensive battery, but you find it's only good for a few minutes when it's dark or windless.
Over time, you find that two out of three trips in your new car see you stuck at the side of the road. Does this sound like the sort of car you'd buy if you knew its shortcomings? Not likely, right? But that's exactly the type of electrical power grid our governments are buying on our behalf because renewables only work one-third of the time.
Either they do know the shortcomings and they're criminally insane, or they don't and they're criminally negligent.

Wait, what? There’s an “… explosion in Chinese Covid-19 infections…”, (China Covid ‘biggest risk to growth’, 03/01)? How is that possible?
The Chinese are the most jabbed, masked, socially distanced, locked down, and obedient of any nationality – but they still have an “explosion” in infections?
A rational person might conclude that none of the CCP-style totalitarian intrusions inflicted on us by our governments were warranted – if independent logical analysis was still allowed, of course.
But no, now those of us capable of thinking are dangerous “conspiracy theorists”, according to a senior Queensland police officer, and we’re a “threat” to the same governments that got everything wrong.
We’ve reached a point where we need to dramatically downsize all our governments. Anyone who can’t see that is just not thinking.

To respond to Andrew Stimson, Letters, 02/01 -
Finally! An alarmist has a crack at disproving the laws of physics, starts off with “I believe”, and it’s all downhill from there (Andrew Stimson, Letters, 03/01).
While Wien’s Displacement Law does not specifically say it works in reverse, Kirchhoff’s Law of Thermal Radiation proves that it does – which is why I included it. Duh!
Stimson then goes on to boldly assert that the Second Law of Thermodynamics is wrong about heat energy from a cold zone being unable to add heat to a hotter zone. Lol!
In alarmist world, the Second Law of Thermodynamics only works “on average”. Good Lord!
Stimson claims that “nobody” considers the cooler atmosphere to be incapable of warming the warmer surface – but that’s exactly what the greatest physicists to have lived have proven. The “nobodies” are all on the alarmism side.
Yes, so-called “greenhouse gases slow down the rate of heat loss” but that is not the same as causing the “surface (to) warm up”. How is that not self-evident?
I have not misinterpreted any aspect of the atmospheric physics, as proven by the complete and embarrassing failure of any alarmist prediction to ever eventuate. Sea levels, anyone?
Nor do I make money by disproving the wild-eyed claims of the climate alarmists, whereas they rely entirely on scaring taxpayers’ money out of gullible politicians for their living. The “disinformation” is 100% from the alarmist side.
Zero out of ten, Stimson. See me after class.

The Editor The Townsville Bulletin As a typical leftie, Glenn White can’t fight on the issue at hand – so he must build a strawman and fight that instead. On 24/12, Glenn said, “Notably Callide B turbine suffered a catastrophic explosion and Loy Yang A closed for an unplanned outage on April 15 and I cannot establish if it is yet up and operating.” On 28/12, I replied, “…there’s a website that tracks every generators’ output in real time using AEMO data (*cough* anero.id/ *cough*) and it shows that both units at Callide B and all four units at Loy Yang A are running near capacity most of the time.” Today (03/01), Glenn says, “Despite his assertions that Callide B and Loy Yang A units remained operational all year…”. Except I asserted nothing of the sort, Glenn, I simply proved that they were fixed and reliably producing vital electricity. The back issues of the papers are still available online for Bully’s subscribers, and anyone can check the generators’ outputs themselves via anero.id at any time. Now a challenge for Glenn; use AEMO or anero.id data to add all the energy solar produces at night to all the energy wind produces when it's calm and tell us how many homes they’ll power. "Australia to roll out tests for Chinese arrivals" (GCB, 2/1). Lol, the tests are wildly inaccurate and the disease is already here, but the fear campaign plan says the show must go on until at least 2025 because they need us all to have digital IDs so we can be properly controlled. Poppi
Lol, a "criminologist" is critical of the government for not restricting the sale of knives (2/1). You'd reckon a criminologist would know young criminals don't buy stuff, they steal it, and that edged weapons can be made out of all sorts of things - as anyone who's ever worked in prison can tell you. This is why "experts" now have no credibility. Kevin, Mareeba
The real reason Tesla was hammered (2/1) was nothing to do with Elon or Twitter. It was because battery powered cars still can't match the range and ease of use of fuel vehicles. They just aren't practical unless you live in a city, don't drive far, and have your own charger. Electricity at California prices means they're more costly to recharge than it is to refuel a normal car. Motorist
Extreme left states in the US have banned menthol cigarettes (2/1). It didn't work there and it won't work here. But it does show our state Labour government takes its orders directly from the globalists who come up with all these incremental restrictions on people's freedoms. Ex-ALP Voter, Cairns

A better constitutional change than an indigenous “voice to parliament” -
Entrenching a racially discriminatory “voice to parliament” in the Constitution is a dreadful idea. The indigenous already have a “voice”. It’s called a vote, and nobody should get more than one vote regardless of their circumstances.
If we really want to tinker with the Constitution, there are far more beneficial changes we could make. We particularly need a clause stating that when government debt exceeds 3% of GDP no member of that parliament is eligible for re-election.
We’d find that suddenly – magically – politicians would remember how to balance a budget. They’d find all sorts of counter-productive programs to cut. Less debt to service would allow politicians keen for re-election to lower taxes. Governments never get good value for our money, so spending less of it will boost the productive economy and do all Australians some genuine good.
