People tell me stuff and I have no idea why they do.
But I met this bloke who had worked in the then Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade, still have a nephew in it, and he, my friend, retired.
Tough shit the proper training.

Anyway, At the time we were living in Echuca, Victoria and one evening he dropped by my place and said we are going on a road trip. It turned out, as we traveled, that his former boss was celebrating 50 years service. So we traveled from Echuca to just south of Swan Hill to a place called Lake Boga where his former boss was visiting. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Boga_Flying_Boat_BaseWe drove around the back of the lake and we looked out on a midnight peaceful scene with teal ducks everywhere. Then he pumped the bagpipes. Talk about laugh as every teal duck and black swan shat themselves and took off. When he finished playing his music it was very silent until someone yelled get over here ya bastard. My mate grinned and said we are invited. It was a good night but hard to keep awake that day.
