"On energy in particular, Mr Chalmers said there was a “perfect storm” of challenges in the energy market." (CP, 2/6). Hmm, yes, brought to us by the Labor-Liberal fantasy that solar and wind can power the grid and that importing oil is cleaner than mining our own abundant stocks. It can only get worse from here. Mick, Daradgee
CBD crime is bad (CP 2/6) because of weak state laws and police fears of being branded racist, particularly if unhealthy indigenous street people kark it while in custody. But the Council made it worse with their innumerable changes to the open, four lane design of our city founders that created the haven for the former parkies in the heart of the business centre. Go back to the 1932 city design and the itinerants will go back to the parks. Davina, Bungalow
Well said, Ron Ferguson. People are beginning to understand that our ALP, Green, teal and LNP politicians have been bought wholesale by the UN/WEF global control cabal who use the climate hoax to trick the gullible masses through their TVs. Oh, and they use a bit of ballot box thieving and stuffing where necessary to guarantee they keep power. One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
Samantha Maiden (2/6) raised interesting questions about the Albanese-Wong relationship. Rumours have swirled for years that Wong has ties to the CCP. The CCP wants to weaken us as much as possible. If everything gets worse under the Albo-Wong ALP, it might be worth checking who Wong is really loyal to. T. Hendrick, Cairns
The wind towers have barely turned a blade for almost a week. How many homes are they powering? Helena, Walkamin
Not mentioned in the story about Victorian schools buckling under virus pressure was the fact that all the teachers who chose not to be forced into government injections with now well-known dangerous side effects have not been allowed back. The staff shortages are a self inflicted problem based on a government run mass delusion. Vanessa, Bayview
Here's a better idea, Senator Green. Simply exit the UN then we don't have to worry about their insane anti-scientific utterances about our Reef. Boatie, Trinity Beach
Oliver (2/6) smelting aluminium takes lots of cheap reliable electricity, which renewables cannot produce. Mining still cannot be done with all battery powered equipment. Yes, we can be a mining and energy superpower, but not until we dump the idea that "carbon" causes climatic problems when the geological evidence says clearly that it does not. Phil, Kurrimine Beach
