While I wish the indigenous tourism project every success I do fear they will struggle for workers. That's been the experience of every similar project. The 'sorry business' culture is a poor fit with predictable workplace attendance. Jules, Gordonvale
The term "First Nations" appears in a few places in Saturday's Cairns Post, but it's wrong on three levels. First, it's appropriated from Canada. Second, the indigenous were not a nation in 1788. Third, the current indigenous were the third race of humans to arrive in Australia, not the first. History Guy, Freshwater
One way the Qld govt could reduce its future superannuation liability is to give all the staff injections that damage their natural immunity so they die younger than they would otherwise. Make it compulsory so those who object can be sacked for further savings. They can then be replaced with more compliant staff already jabbed for early death. Charli, Kuranda
Bob Manning, yes we need water security, but no, pumping from the Mulgrave is only a band-aid fix. We need another dam up in the hills, like Copperlode Dam. We could ask UNESCO for permission - or we could just dump our membership in that anti-Australian foreign organization. Lorrie, Brinsmead
In the past five years the federal govt has wasted $35 billion that was borrowed in our names on wind and solar that we already know is unable to replace coal and gas. It has plans to borrow and waste another $22 billion in the next few years. The only way to stop this stupid and needless waste is to vote these old parties out. Geoff, Trinity Beach
Geez, climate alarmists (9/4) are like a broken record. Did the polar ice caps melt by 2013 as promised? Why no, no they didn't. If they had, the seas would have risen. Have you seen any sea level rise? No, me neither. It's a busted myth, you tired old zealots. Give it up, will ya? Davo, Portsmith
There's no point in the NQPHN writing to Greg Hunt. Hunt is a WEF Young Global Leader and the former Director of Global Strategy for the WEF. The WEF wants a global government and undermines sovereign governments at every opportunity. I'm surprised Hunt even qualifies for parliament under S44(i) of our Constitution. Steve, Redlynch
The govt Home Guarantee Scheme reeks of the US' low-deposit low-doc home loans that caused the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. Juss Sayen, Cairns
The kids that get suspended from school (CP, 9/4) are the ones that disrupt the education of the kids that will go on to be productive taxpaying citizens. How about having special schools for disruptive kids like we used to? Tony, Westcourt
