We have as many threads as we need.
You look for "new Comment" and go to the ones you want to see, not the ones you have to scroll past in other blogs.
Anyone can say nearly whatever they like.
You can live on this blog and not care what SSR says if you so wish....you don't even have to read her.

Read the history of how and why this site was set up.
It is not a "BLOG" as such but a notice board... dare I say it, It is a Bulletin Board where folk can post topics that interest them with the understanding that others can agree or disagree or add to the Original Posters (OP) information without that OP's information being swamped by bullshiters.
Before FB, Twitter, Blogs, News Sites, YouTube, et al were Bulletin Boards.

BTW, this is actually one of my favourite formats for a public discussion board because you don't have to be led into the killing pens by the Judas Goats, but can feely wander far afield and explore all sorts of things without annoying those who prefer the, 'follow the leader' style. Also, being able to see video thumbnails, memes & images without having to decide whether to waste your time clicking on links is wonderfully, 'busy person, time short', person friendly ... as well as making it much harder for professional hypnotists to seduce you away from your conscious thoughts into their imagination. |

It's free-er but old people like less choice because it's confusing.
What you really have on the blogs like dover's is the television set with one channel.
You don't have to think about what you are going to watch and once the shitty types start to control it, with no competition, it dies.
Do you get "new comments" notices, as it makes it so easy?

Incoherent Rambler thinks old "witch" is nicer that old & "ugly".
I know "witch" is worse because it's the spirit that is so ugly it's deserving of death.
Though a "witch" can be young, smart, talented & beautiful, on the outside, the soul is a pit of death,
whereas you could be an "ugly, old woman", yet be abounding with a blessing soul.
If I were a Gambling Addict like so many on Social Media, I'd bet my house that Cassie would gladly be a witch rather than ugly.
So yeah, JC is onto it, Arky's insult for Cassie would cut far deeper than being accused of witchcraft.

Putting aside the difference between 'the saudis' & The Saudis that confuses so many (like the difference between 'the dems' & Americans), this is a handy post for bitching about a too often used weapon on Social Media platforms, particularly a certain platform populated with arrogant, control freaking bullies, who as JC was again doing to Arky, cry 'Nutter!', when they don't want others considering what another has posted -
Remember when I posted on all sorts of things about the insecurity of all electronic communications, and the Cat's Net Heads & IT Experts hit back hard with, 'crazy old woman doesn't know how the internet works, paranoid nutter', smears, rather than address any of the very real issues I warned people about?
I do. It was the main false floor that the bullshitters started building their, 'Don't listen to her, she's crazy.', house of cards on.
Now when you listen to that Joe Rogan interview with that Net Security expert, remember, all that he talks about is just what he can talk about.
It's all basically old tech, just like Shadow Banning & Kettling was also already old tech long before anyone else came up with a term for it, like way back when I described how information flow could be controlled to go to enough simpletons who'd testify that they could access anything while keeping the juicy info away from those who could use it productively to mobilise others, with the added benefit of branding them 'nutters' when they told others just how easily important information was cut off from those who would make good use of it.
