Everyone I know who has had the covid shot has also had covid. Most won't be getting the booster (17/3). Very few unvaxxed I know have had covid. Those that have were less ill than those who were jabbed. Work that out. Kerry, Westcourt
Rick of Redlynch, your comment makes you sound sexist, racist and ageist. Old white men actually created the only society to have ever lifted people out of slavery and poverty. What's your problem with that? One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
Seriously, Bob Manning? Why would we follow Brisbane's example on anything? They've turned their city from a lovely laid back sprawling town into a traffic choked crime ridden nightmare. Kevin, Manunda
Biden is providing aid to Ukraine, mostly as military equipment. Biden is buying Russian oil, after closing down US domestic production. Biden is funding both sides of the war in Ukraine, with US tax-payers' money. Republican, Cairns
It is not "by chance" that the rainfall was concentrated in the south, Mr Hadley (CP, 17/3). They were actually caused by the recent Tonga volcanic eruption. That subsea eruption ejected charged particles of dust, gas and water vapour right through the troposphere and stratosphere to the mesosphere, and those particles have circled the Earth twice and are now settling back down, nucleating clouds and triggering our heavy rain. As usual, it has nothing whatsoever to do with carbon dioxide. Non-woke Meteorologist, Cairns
Spare me the "no expense spared" on over-priced, specially imported police golf buggies, GHTO (17/3). That's our tax money being blown on a transport tool that is inferior to bicycles by every measure you listed. GTR XU2
Good to see the UK and Germany waking up to the climate change hoax and restarting coal power stations and gas drilling. Makes our PM's Glasgow commitment look absolutely ridiculous. Mark, Gordonvale
TV news blames Ukraine for supply chain disruptions and labour shortages here. How can an 8 year old war do that but current flooding and vax mandates causing mass sackings doesn't? Keith, Mooroobool
Has anyone heard from that bloke who confidently predicted "what rains fall won't make our rivers run or fill our dams"? Puddleduck, Brinsmead
It never has been about 'green energy' or 'climate change' of 'safety' or 'slowing the spread'. It's always been about control. Jonnie, Westcourt
Do the climate cultists even know that the whole war on CO2 was invented by the Russians? Putin must laugh himself silly at George of Palm Cove (CP, 17/3). Aussie Patriot, Cairns
The "climate change war" has been waged on hard-working Aussie families by extreme left political ideologues. It has not been "won" except in the minds of those ideologues. Juss Sayen, Cairns
Tom Minear, I disagree; Morrison should not only remove fuel excise but GST as well. Infrastructure spending doesn't need to suffer, the extraordinarily expensive and wasteful public service can take a haircut instead. Mr Obvious, Earlville
If you're born with so much money you can buy anything or anyone you want, what do you end up craving? Yep, power. God-like power. Does that help you understand the mindset of the private jet crowd? Greg, Kamerunga
The tech and fast food giants have pulled out of Russia because of their evil actions. I'm still waiting for them to pull out of China. Sam, Kuranda
"Climate" didn't work. "Covid" didn't work. Now our globalist enemies* are going to try mass starvation via exorbitant fuel prices (CP, 17/03) to destroy our economy. (*includes ALP and LNP). Ted, Walkamin
Irish pub culture has become so commercialised that there is a company that sells Irish pub kits that contain the entire interior to set up an "authentic" Irish pub - entirely made in China. Paddy, Cairns
I do hope our top students become lawyers and prosecute the individuals in our governments who tortured them and stole over two years of their precious childhoods in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Libo, Mooroobool
On science conspiracy theorists, Reece (Wednesday 16/3), I recall them claiming we'd get "more frequent and more severe cyclones" - but we didn't. The opposite happened. The Dread Sceptic, Cairns
Albo is foolish to deny the pork-barrelling when all politicians do it in all elections. The only way they win is by promising other people's money to buy votes. If they had to get in on original ideas and pure representation the established parties would never win. Fran, Kanimbla
