You may not have noticed, but there has been an ongoing war against free speech happening on the internet. It started with "unacceptable" clips on YouTube being deleted. Then it was Facebook, and various Google offshoots. More recently it expanded to include sites hosted by WordPress. Locally Deputy PM Barnaby Joyce signalled the government's intention to "regulate" social media sites here in Australia.
In this ten minute clip The Ice Age Farmer explains how this internet censorship has now spread to DNS level cancellation, directed by the U.N. DNS cancellation means the site simply ceases to exist, as far as being able to access it goes.
Australian orientated sites that appear to be WordPress based include Jo Nova, Dash Cat and Flash Cat, so you can expect them all to disappear fairly soon. I simply don't know about Proboards which which The Furniture Factory, or Discordant Cats, hosted at Discord, but I think/hope they will be able to hold out longer.

I know this is a minuscule site in the scheme of things but while Free people can still share information... I thank you.

Update #1
Further to my post above, I have just received an email from Rumble, originally set up as an uncensored alternative to YouTube. I, like many others, have posted all the relevant clips I have found, on Rumble. Rumble just announced it has entered into a stock exchange listed merger agreement with CFAC, Cantor Financial Acquisitions Corp.
CFAC is a shady financial group that sprang out of nowhere last July. It has USD $455 million to invest in, buy, and/or merge with "interesting" assets. It is headed up by silver spoon Howard Lutnick, who grew his inherited millions into billions backing and financing the Covid scam. So I assume Rumble will soon become as "uncensored" as YouTube. Time to start looking for another alternative.

Update #2 Australia's taxpayer funded propaganda unit, the ABC, already in receipt of around AUD $1.4 billion of taxpayer's money courtesy the ScoMo LIBERAL govt, has announced a financial merger-funding deal with facebook and Google. The actual amount of the deal is undisclosed, but it will finance 50 new ABC propagandists in regional centres around Australia. These propagandists are expected to be hired and on location by the end of February. It seems many things are due to come to fruition by the end of February. As the old Chinese curse goes - "may you live in interesting times". www.abc.net.au/news/2021-12-03/abc-to-add-more-than-50-journalists-in-regional-australia/100673862

@just Me
Pro Boards was fairly well isolated from Big Tech when I originally checked.
Word Press based sites that have used the original Open Source software and developed their own infrastructure should be okay.

WordPress have been part of the "Big Tech" crowd from the start.
They started taking down the bigger WordPress hosted sites some time ago, and recently started on the WordPress based, but not hosted sites. I do not know how they do this.
Dash Cat and Flash Cat are WordPress based and hosted. Jo Nova is WordPress based, but not hosted.

@just Me
I am not disagreeing with you.
I have watched WordPress since it started and have always been 'leery' of them.
Where they can also probably take down a site is dependent on your hosting service as many hosts offer a 'canned' WordPress hosting service under license from WP which makes it convenient..,. but!
The other vulnerability is so called cloud storage/computing.
I recall that JoNova took over organization of her site some time ago but how far that went I don't know.
The latest to be cut off by WP I am aware of was The Conservative Treehouse who believe they are now isolated.
There are a couple of stories re Rumble and Trump getting together so interesting times indeed.
