Seas haven't risen. Snow still falls. Australian dams still fill. The Reef has more coral than ever in recorded history. Mere fractions of the forecast covid death toll actually occurred. I'm starting to think that computer models don't give useful results. Mick C., Malanda
The Christian ethos founded the rules-based societies that fostered capitalism which lifted whole populations out of slavery. The climate change ethos (CP, 02/12) is a tick sucking on Christian capitalism's blood, and like a tick if not prised out it will kill the host. It is halfway there already through squandering national wealth and enforcing socialist wealth redistribution policies. Higgs Tolga
Try this at home: "Alexa/Siri. Which company paid the highest corporate fine in American history." The short answer is "Pfizer." But you trust them with your health anyway, right? Pamela, Earlville
Karen Andrews (CP, 2/12) makes a good point about alcohol in parliament house. Truckies must be drug and alcohol free, and have a fatigue logbook, but parliamentarians don't? Drunk, stoned, exhausted legislators can do infinitely more damage to our nation than can a rogue truckie. It's time politicians became as ethical as most truckies. Mariner, Portsmith
David Clapham, (CP, 2/12), well said. The govt lied when they said get the vax and you're free to travel. So why did they lie? They also said the vaxes were safe and effective. But they lied about that, too. The takeaway lesson is we need to stuff the govt genie back in its bottle. Brad, Tinaroo
Abortion. Euthanasia. Vaccination. I don't want government to have any role in any of these. Governments don't make superior decisions. In fact, government decisions are often terrible. Nanna, Babinda
Good morning! If you're young and worried about flooding down south being caused by "climate change" instead of weather cycles, just look up Dorothea Mackellar's poem, "My Country." Now check out when it was written. And ... relax. JS, Edge Hill
Harold (2/12), thank you for noting there's been no cyclones this year. More frequent and stronger cyclones was a feature of bad climate change - so no cyclones must be a sign of good climate change. Sounds like that problem has been solved. Terri, Clifton Beach
Of course Greg Hunt is leaving politics. His job turning Australia into a totalitarian state is done. Time to jet off overseas and collect his pandemic afterpay from his true boss - Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum. Don't believe me - check out his own online biographies. Dianna, Westcourt
How come there's no government ads encouraging us to get fit any more? Is it because that's not particularly profitable for specific donor groups? Woz, Parramatta Park
The South African doctor who discovered the omicron variant says it's less dangerous than other strains. But Annastasi will shut the borders anyway because she's a good servant of the WEF. Tangles, Earlville
News out of Botswana reports the triple-vaccinated get mild but unusual symptoms when they contract the omicron variant, but the unvaccinated are not contracting omicron at all. Omicron is literally the vaccinated variant. VL, Smithfield
All you lefties who've had the jab know you're now a genetically-modified organism, right? How do you feel about that? One Tooth Wally, Cairns North
Next election I hope to vote for a candidate who will lock all our currently serving politicians in the newly-built "quarantine camps" to isolate them so they cannot inflict any more damage on our country. Chook, Stratford
Experts are wondering why equatorial regions of Africa, which have vax rates near zero, aren't suffering high covid rates. It's pretty obvious really. Climate. Hotter countries, where people spend more time outdoors in the sun and fresh air, are less conducive to covid spread. Therefore we need to hope for a warming world to end the pandemic. Russell, Innisfail
Yes, climate change is real (CP, 2/12). And it has changed back to how it was in the 1980s, when the global warming scare was invented. However, the alarmism has evolved into a secular religion for a small minority of folks. Mark W. Redlynch
"Flood area evacuations urged" (CP, 02/12). "Wettest November in 150 years." Hang on - didn't Australia's Chief Scientist a few years ago state with high certainty that global warming climate change meant what rain fell wouldn't make the rivers run or fill the dams? Why, yes - yes he did. Joanne, Manunda
