Regarding the UN and the sexual harassment, (16/09), it has me stumped why we're still a part of this odious and secretive globalist organisation. Look up the biographies of its leaders - they're all either globalists, communists or socialists. The UN has been subverted from its original goals and now works counter to our interests. I agree with other commenters here - it's well past time we left the UN. Tamira, Edmonton
Ouch - reports are emerging of a twenty-fold spike in cancer diagnoses amongst the vaccinated in Idaho. Let's hope that doesn't happen here. Izzy, Cairns
Re: Toogood Road - 16/9. It's ridiculous to think Councils can fix anything. They can't do what we want, they can only do what the Brisbane govt allows them to. Councils generally have outlived their relevance as they're basically just a state govt dept now. A better local works model would be to delete the Councillors entirely and have a Dept of Cairns, Dept of Tablelands, Dept of Douglas, etc. It'd be more honest. Then if the Depts were kept separate and their staff never allowed to mingle and they were put into competition with each other to best serve their locals and create the best local communities for their residents they may actually improve from their present dismal incompetence. Sheryl, Bayview Heights
"Unhinged Trump" (16/9)? Unhinged Milley and dementia-suffering Biden is more like it. Milley has revealed himself as a traitor and, if the Chinese involvement in covid is proven to be an act of biowarfare, Milley will be shot after his court martial. Veteran, Mooroobool
Great column, Mike O'Connor (15/9). If we can see the Qld govt hung tourism out to dry, why can't the tourism industry see that? The FNQ tourism industry should have permanent picket lines outside the offices of Michael Healy, Craig Crawford, Curtis Pitt and Cynthia Liu. Instead they just get on their knees and beg for scraps. I don't feel inclined to support an industry that won't fight govt oppression. Patricia, Mission Beach
So you're a fan of mandatory vaccination? Answer this: why do the protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn't protect the protected? Shirley, Tinaroo
You know it's a pretty insignificant vacuum if Kristina Keneally is all it takes to fill it. Who would be controlling her? Why won't that person stand themselves? Beth, Parramatta Park
Oh, God - yet ANOTHER change in what age should get what jab (CP 16/9). Apparently these over-educated dimwits can't see how they undermine both their own credibility and public trust in the mass vaccine trials. Just because someone has degrees does NOT mean they are correct - even in their special subjects. Dan, Caravonica
On the new office building at McGregor Rd, do those masses of glass open? If not, the occupants would want to hope the rush to renewables doesn't cause the types of blackouts they've caused in California. And California can import power - we can't. Haley, Earlville
Wait, what? Authorities couldn't find a full-size human jail escapee living on Sydney's northern beaches for 29 years (CP, 16/09), but they think they can eliminate a microscopic virus that arrived in Australia five months before they became aware of it? I have a nice coat-hangar-shaped bridge to sell them. Jenny, Edge Hill
The side of politics who in 2020 were sure covid was a highly infectious and very deadly disease are the same people who in 1990 were sure there would be two metres of sea level rise by 2010. Just as we've seen no net sea level rise we've seen no change in national death rates that was outside normal annual variations. Chris, Mooroobool
Swamping sensible Aussies with left-wing hysteria over covid is going to come back to bite the left. People generally aren't as stupid as the self-proclaimed elites like to think. There's no "tipping point" in climate change, but there sure is in human psychology. GTR, Kanimbla
Hate to say it, but the people filing in to get the jab are showing precisely the same misplaced trust in government that a certain minority group did in the 1940s as they were herded into railway boxcars. A. Reader, Cairns
CP. 16/9. John Frewen is an embarrassment to every patriot in our military. He will front the Covid Nuremberg if we win our country back from the mysterious forces currently running it. Woz, Parramatta Park
Re - Douglas Ogilvie, (16/9). If the vaccines work, why do the "frail" need healthy people to be tracked by the government? If the vaccines don't work, which would justify the tracking app, why the push to make vaccination mandatory? There's just too many flaws in the covid yarn as it is sold to us by governments. Aloysius, Mareeba
Weird how capital city police can crack down on ordinary Aussies protesting their stolen freedom but they couldn't, when the pandemic was new and believable, on the radical left activists at the BLM and XR protests. Barb, Malanda
No, Mr Trompf. There was no "Delta storm." For two reasons. The impact on tourism was because of government actions - not disease. And the PCR test cannot differentiate between Alpha and Delta - and Delta is less deadly than Alpha (Farr's Laws) which was about the same as any other flu. Officials panicking in unison across the developed world damaged tourism - not COVID-19. Ivan, Kuranda
Hey, Douglas (16/9) I've never checked in and I never will because that whole operation is all about introducing a global digital tracking system so government can control every aspect of your life. You cannot comply your way out of tyranny. Our freedoms were stolen by our left and right of politics at the request of international forces. If you want them back you must stop being so obedient. Carmela, Mareeba
The OECD (CP, 16/9) is right. The "Asian Century" idiocy we were sold last century has come back to bite us savagely. This lunacy stems back to the socialist Lima Agreement of the 1970s, which thought that transferring Western technology, factories and jobs to China would democratise it. It didn't. The opposite happened - because Western socialists did not understand socialism, much less Chinese communism. UN socialists still carry these unshakable delusions. Raylene, Kamerunga
Great idea, Release Barabbas, (CP, 16/09), about putting Keneally in as opposition leader, and Paul Keating thinks so, too. Keneally keeps failing her way upwards and is electoral poison, so in the clown world of 2021 it makes perfect sense that she should lead the ALP - and the prison colony of Australia - into our Glorious Globalist World Government Future, Comrade. Caesar, Whitfield
Jennifer Spilsbury (Editorial, CP, 16/09). The property market is hot right now because canny investors can see the Covid spending will lead to a huge spike in inflation - as is already occurring elsewhere. Cash reserves became valueless in the Weimar Republic in under two years. Real property still has value even after a government destroys its own fiat currency. Darryl, Westcourt

You can't be serious, Bunty (TB, 16/09). Vikki Campion started as a cadet journalist, so wasn't brainwashed by far-left universities. She was the first reporter on Palm Island after the riots when she worked for the Bully. She has been an adviser at the heart of NSW and federal politics. She has a top security clearance. The fact that someone from a remote corner of NQ thinks the subjects she wrote about were "unrelated" doesn't make it so. If you want to see "ill-informed and unintelligent," Bunty, go look in the mirror. Francis M. Davidson, Hermit Park
